The hotel is very close to the airport located in the city (5-10m drive). Beautiful place with big rooms split in 2 parts; the bed room and a living room with desk. Breakfirst is ok for Asia and staff is nice and helpful. The conv are; pretty bad internet connection on the last floor and noisy due to the opening... More

Have stayed a night at Riviera on April 4th. We got a suite room located on 4th fl. The room is big with a spacious bathroom. The location is quite good; not very far from Shilin night market. Anyway, the 4th fl is a non-smoking floor but some guests had smoked cigarette on that night. Dont know how to avoid... More

I reviewed this hotel earlier, and it's still great. Safe, comfortable, convenient. Excellent location - people who think it's not central don't know Taipei; only overpriced department stores are not in walking distance, but both for business as for normal tourism (sightseeing), the location is great and so is the free shuttle bus. The metro is a bit far for... More

Fantastic and charming hotel- all the basic boxes ticked - comfy room, bed, awesome breakfast. What makes it awesome & charming? The glass rooftop gun where you can workout looking out at Yang Ming Shan & the Grand Hotel, the running track in the roof, the Eco toiletries (including clothes washing liquid - great idea and the first time I've... On our first visit to Taipei, we decided to stay at the Riviera. It is outside the traditionally 'touristy' areas of Daan and Xinyi - however it is closer to many of the great sightseeing spots and night markets. The service at the hotel was friendly and english was well spoken. It is close to the fantastic MRT rail system... More

As first time visitors to Taipei, we were guided to the hotel by our trusty travel agent as a good position to local transport, and not being in the middle of the city (Taipei 101) which we usually prefer. It was an excellent choice. The hotel is slightly dated in comparison to the W's of the world, but in that... More

Clean room, comfortable bed, good buffet breakfast, nice staff and a great roof top view in the fitness area. We were only there 2 nights. Easy to get around to other areas via the MRT right down the street across from the Expo Center. There is a small restaurant -- loved it www.dragon-yaki.com.tw. when you walk out of the hotel... Upon arrival from Intl Matsuyama airport within several min, we found small old one but clean, reinnovated a few years ago, well trained all staffs fluent in English/Japanese, our twin rooms for 3 nights well furnished with big deep bath tub, a shower set, compuitorized toilet, toilet goods, towels rather hard (req softizer treat), walkable roof garden with a gym... A bit of a mixed bag - very old fashioned, not particularly attractive but where it matters, this is a good hotel. Terrific staff, big room, very quiet and comfortable, excellent shower and lots of linen. A nice bonus was the roof top gym which was fairly well equipped and had great views of the city. Also, breakfast is very... More

my friend and i were looking for a moderately priced, but well located hotel in Taipei for a three-night stay on our way to Burma. We couldnt have made a better choice. The rooms are very adequate for either a couple or two singles. The heated toilet was a bonus. Breakfast, whcih was inlcuded, was excellent. Best of all are... More
