Stayed here for only one night, after transfer from another hotel. Room size was ok for 2, bathroom was good with complete amenities. Receptionists speak good English and they had good exchange rate for US Dollars. We went out at night and tried to hail a taxi to Shilin night market, but we were rejected (twice!)because the taxi drivers could... More

The hotel is well located close to the metro station, restaurants and shops. Rooms and breakfast are good. The concierge is very helpful to make your stay enjoyable. Overall a recommendation. In the near area there are many restaurants and spa.

Great staff friendly. Good rooms. Reasonable price. Close to shopping and metro and restaurants. There is a very good night market within 2 blocks of the hotel. There is a reasonable health club on the 12th floor .

The Imperial is reliably friendly and comfortable. The staff is friendly and efficient. The location is good for most visitors. Hallway carpeting could be cleaner or replaced more frequently. Quick service anytime you have a request. The breakfast buffet is certainly adequate and you can get a made to order omelette. Most of the food is Taiwan style and Asian... More

I stay here jobswise a few days about every other month. Every time I come back to the Imperial I'm surprised by the professionalism of the staff. And most of them speak English. Accommodation: This is a former InterContinental hotel and one notices some aspects of accommodation more like the late 80s and 90s. Eg: This is the case in... More

I love this hotel! I stay here for business when I am in town. They have a wonderful breakfast buffet. Salad, eggs and omelets to order, fruit, a variety of local foods, breads, and best of all, a latte machine. Roger, the concierge is one of friendliest and knowledgable people you will come across. He is a treasure! Rooms are... More

Most horrible and outdated hotel I have ever stayed in 20 years: - breakfast 90% for Chinese or Japanese almost no bakery, no waffles, no pancakes, no porridge even simple things like small coffee spoons are missing - room very old mostly noisy I had to change room 3x - hopelessly overpriced for Taipei - mainly young group tourists almost... This is a vg "local" 5 star hotel but a level below a true 5* international hotel. But at the prices currently being offered on the net it is an absolute bargain. Hence it is fairly full. I had a junior suite because the price was so good. Large room split into 2 areas, lounge and bedroom but open plan.... More

A good hotel with friendly and helpful staff (who speak English). Rooms are well appointed and surprisingly large though I was in a corner room (ending #15) which may have made a difference. It's not particularly close to the major sites and a 5 min walk to the subway but once you're on the subway it's easy and fast to... More
