This hotel is a great place to stay for weekend getaway in Taipei. The room is pretty spacious...clean and comfortable. There's also alot of food/cafe/stores nearby. You may opt to go on foot....metro or taxi. I would say it's pretty convenient to find your way around. The famous Daiso outlet which sells various food and household items is also just... more

This is not one of the best options in Taipei. Alternative: Sheraton. The location is good, being close to a large department store and the metro station. Some notes: It caters to primarily Japanese business men. So, their English service is not as good as their Japanese service. Public space is almost non-existent. No place to sit/wait in the lobby.... more

We just got back from Taipei 3 days ago. After some hotel surveying, we chose to stay in Hotel Royal Taipei. This is one perfect gem right in the centre of Taipei city. I do not understand why is this hotel not ranked in Tripadvisor. It is a splendid hotel i.e. location, service, food, rooms, bed etc. The nearest MRT... more
