This was my first visit to Taipei and I wanted to visit as much historical sites as possible during a few days' stay. The room I booked was a superior queen. And it was not a refurbished room. It was a bit old fasioned room but was OK to me. A heavy wooden door with a rond glass window partitions... More

The Hotel Royal Nikko Taipei is a hotel that has some illusions of grandeur, but somehow cannot entirely live up to them. The services and personnel were all excellent and no fault whatsoever can be found with them. Every single individual who worked at the hotel was professional, friendly, and helpful. In fact, they made my stay there memorable. However,... More

I stayed at this hotel at a discounted rate (my employer negotiated for the corporate rate). It was a really good deal. The hotel is located adjacent to an MRT station and a night life area especially for Japanese. Either by taxi or MRT, you can access to Taipei Train Station easily where you can catch high speed trains.

Be careful to confirm the room type upon booking. I had a very outdated, cramped room that had heavy wooden doors between rooms, with lace curtains on them (like you are at an elderly aunt's house). Hated the room. Hated the crowded bathroom that required a ladder to climb in and out of the tub. However, leaving my room one... More

I hate hotels. There I said it. I can't stand the feeling of staying where thousands of people have stayed and not knowing if it's been properly cleaned. Put me outdoors and I am fine rolling around in the dirt and walking around in nature barefoot, but dust, hair and unidentifiable substances.... I usually can't do hotels, but this Japanese... More

My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in September 2014. Checking in was a breeze. We asked for a late check out because we have a late flight out of Taipei and was only charge NT3000 to have the room till 5pm. A bargain for the super clean, quiet and big room. Great room amenities and... More

My husband and I stayed here in January 2014 for 3 nights and were extremely pleased with the hotel. We had just traveled from Hong Kong where we did not have a good experience with our stay, so stepping into the Hotel Royal-Nikko Taipei was a relief as the lobby was brightly lit, the hallways had ambient lighting and smelled... We stayed there for 3 nights (premier double) Room as described and i love the shower head, water is too powerful. The bed was amazing too. Staff are too friendly and they will help and answer all your questions. Their English level is generally good.

Stayed recently on a Business trip, my first trip to Taiwan. The Hotel is located in a relatively quiet and upmarket area. The Rooms are very well equipped and comfortable. All of the Staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurants were of good quality. The Hotel is a short walk from the Metro system which provides easy access... More

Could not be faulted - Japanese style hospitality, cleanliness and service. Premier rooms are spacious and well equipped. 10 min walk to exit 4 of zhongshan MRT. Lots of food choices within walking distance.
