Five-Star rated with good Three-Star service. Reception helpful and supportive with good solutions, its a good stay and guest oriented focus. Restaurant service personnel for dinner unexperienced. Room equipment is Japanese style, offers everything except shoehorns. SPA a genuine hot spring. The place is just too far from Taipei for sightseeing. For booking one has to be sure if he... More

Disclaimer - Facilities only, not hotel accommodation review My kids and I have spent a few weekend afternoon here at the Landis Resort pool and restaurant escaping from the humidity and heat in Taipei City. It's a short drive away and the crowd has always been manageable. The locker room that's adjacent to the onsen facilities is clean and has... More

I really like the design of the hotel and the tranquility it extrudes. In particular the Japanese style of bathroom with large glass panel overlooks the garden is one the rare scene for hotels in Taiwan. The breakfast was excellent with so many choices of dishes. Overall it is a nice hotel to stay but also costs somewhat, after all,... More

The staff friendliness and place cleanliness. In room hot bath and bath area is large and excellent. Decor is relaxing. Lack of elevator. But the bell boy made up for it. Still an elevator is good for any wheelchair bound.

I was staying in this nice onsen hotel for a conference. The quest room we had is superior room class. Of the 4 classes of guest room, the superior room class, IMH0, is the best for the money. It has a private custom marble onsen bathtub with a large window facing the Shamou Mountain. You can take the white sulfur... More

Public hot spring is very small and not well maintained. Towels and provisions are very limited. Room is very small when compare with Landis Wulai. Towels and bath robe is very poor quality. Bed quilt cover is broken. Room is run down. Very noisy due to poor insulation. Basically like a 3 star hotel if you compare with Landis Wulai.

I needed somewhere to recharge between two work weeks in Asia and this hotel was recommended by colleagues in Taiwan. The hotel is clean and spacious with a really nice, slightly minimalist feel. It may not really be 5 star, but it is pretty good value, given the prestige location so near Yangmingshen park. The hotel is very comfortable and... More

After spending two days in the centre of Taipei, we decided to take a few days in Yangmingshan. I agree with some other reviewers that the hotel is probably not a real 5 star: curtains and sofas have some stains, the carpet was a bit loose in the corners, but I really loved the hotel. Staff were friendly, the hotel... More

Location and the hot springs are very good. Rooms Japanese style and nice. But rooms are not maintained very well. Room was very very dusty, everything in room covered in dust. Breakfast is mediocre, really shameful. This is the type of breakfast Motels serve. Shame on Landis! Overall , only good for hot springs which are nice and clean. But... More

We stayed here for 1 night, and my in-laws (in their 70's) love the hot spring pools with sulphur. They claimed it helps their backpains a lot. The staff were good, and recommended a very good restaurant for us to enjoy the night scenery of YangMingShan (overseeing Taipei City). We had the standard rooms, and good for 2 adults (for... More
