My friend and I booked the Landis Taipei by phone from Bangkok because we didn't know any hotels in Taiwan. We had no idea what it would be like. When we arrived, it was a wonderful surprise to be welcomed by extremely friendly and competent staff. Check-in was a pleasure, our room was a clean, modern, elegant mini-suite. Everything was... more

Apart from the outstanding installations (I particularly recommend the health club on top floor) the staff is worth a mention. Some remarkably friendly English speaking willing to help at all times. In spite of its location, definetly worth the money. more

This was my first trip to Taipei. The Hotel seemed very modest at the entrance but I was really impressed by the service attitude of the hotel staff. The attendants took pains to personally take you to the room and explain all the amenities. Room was very nicely done with lot of attention to detail. Overall they stay was very... more

Although this is mainly a business hotel we stayed there for a weeks holiday in October. The service was outstanding and very polite. We were addressed by our names every time we left or returned to the hotel. The General Manager took the time to have some chicken broth made for me when i arrived with a bad cold. The breakfast buffet was... more

What a shame to have such wonderful personnel in such a disappointing property. I really wanted to be able to write a glowing review because every hotel employee I encountered was sincerely warm and friendly and so eager to please. But, given that the hotel has so many drawbacks, I just cannot. The Deluxe rooms are really mini-suites, with separate... more

Actually my company booked me in. And I have to say, disappointing for a 5, even for a 3 star hotel. Location: It is 20 minutes by taxi from city center, and about 1 hour from the airport. If you like to use public transport, you could walk to the metro system, which is closest 20 minutes walk! - or... more

Stayed with my partner on two occasions in August 2008. From the moment we arrived to the time we departed, we were treated with utmost courtesy and warmth. Arriving in the beautiful 1930s Art Deco-styled lobby, we were able to sit down at the desk while we checked in. Check-in was smooth and swift, and we were escorted to our... more

Great hotel experience and customer service. On our first day, we came a little earlier but they let us check-in earlier at no extra charge. On our third day, we returned to our room to leave our things and went out to eat. When we came back, we observed that our bed is made once again, trash can emptied, and... more

This hotel undoubtedly has the best customer service I have ever experienced. During my journey there I was laidover in Tokyo due to a typhoon and arrived a day late. My wife wrote to tell them of the delay and received a very rapid response from the manager not to worry, that they would save my reservation and keep her... more
