It was my first time visiting central Taipei having only stopped-over at TPE airport previously. I was unsure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised at the hotel's quality. Early-check in was offered after my long flight and the room was well-appointed with a large desk, marble and gold finishes. Their French restaurant was wonderful with the female staff wearing... A beautiful hotel with great art deco decorations. The buffet breakfast was extensive, including my favourite smoked salmon with capers, red onion, lemon and French bread. The staff were very helpful. Free access to the internet was good and we took advantage to sign up for the New York Times while we were there. There is a bakery on the... More

Lovely - clean, quiet rooms, excellent (very!!) breakfast. Very good location - short walk to MRT. The staff are beyond excellent - very helpful, friendly, they can't do enough for you. All staff can communicate very well in English, which I greatly admire given my Chinese is very limited. Bonus - a great little gym! Love it and will be... More

Very nice, classic and convenient hotel. Good service and wide range of restaurants. Very much french oriented. My non-smoking room used to be a smoking room in the past, I could smell. Nice warm toiletseat, but every 25 seconds there is some water flushing somewhere... Bit annoying. Nevertheless I will come back, because it has style, it is classy and... More

Quintessential old world service experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt we were whisked back into a hollywood era and treated like royalty. The elegantly attired staff seemed authentically and naturally cheerful & attentive with incredible decorum & grace. It is truly better than the Four Seasons at which we recently stayed. Now, the breakfasts...ahhh, the breakfast experience! Again,... More

Although rooms are a bit too classical, (I mean aged) I was very happy with good service and location. Also have good choice of restaurants. French to Chinese. Breakfast was simple but good quality and taste.

My fist visit to this hotel was 2003 and afterwards every year until 2012. It has a very warm welcome culture and I will nevery forthe the very nice older Taiwanese doorkeeper, who used to smoke a cigarette with me :-) The breakfast was the first, but always the best moment in the morning. I will never forget the staff... More

Good location, lots of convenience stores around for basic food (but then again, it is Taiwan). It is about a 15 minute walk to get to the main food street, definitely worth the walk; otherwise it's mediocre Chinese food or McDonalds. 5 minute walk away is the MRT station, very convenient. The deluxe room is worth the extra money IMO,... More

Good location with many restaurants neatby. The Chinese restaurant 天香楼 offers superb Hangzhou food. Must try! Hotel also has one of the best French fine-dining in Taipei. The bakery offers delicious bread. Hotel staff are very friendly and lined up at the hotel lobby to welcome guests every night. This makes us feel very homely. The roof top gym is... More

Overall, I liked the Landis hotel. Staff was very friendly and they even upgraded us for one night because of our honeymoon. My earring fell down the sink drain the second night, and the service man was nice enough to take the sink apart to find it. Thats what I call great service! Pros: Staff is attentive and friendly Hotel... More
