This hotel is located just outside the Zhongshan MRT Exit R4. The hotel was also kind to let us leave our luggage at the dining area before we could check-in. We saw good reviews of this place, however, it was rather disappointing. We booked 2 twin and 1 queen rooms, only the queen room at Lvl4 had good working connection... More

Just situated 2 mins from the train station and located near to cafes. Welcoming receptionist and superb service. The price is really affordable for Taipei and the room is nice and clean. Highly recommended for a budget stay in Taipei and if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Xi Men Ding. If you missed the... More

I have come to Taipei many times. The Purple Garden is a very exact type of hotel. It is not the most luxurious, but if you're looking for a inexpensive hotel a short walk from the Taipei main bus and train station, then this is the best I've found. Literally you walk 7 minutes and you're there from the station.... More

We booked this hotel after reading the comments in Tripadvisor. The location is great. Just next to the subway exit which is very convenient. Room is clean. Aircond works well. Bed is nice to sleep. Bathroom is clean with transparent glass. Flat screen tv with many channels. Breakfast is simple with porridge and condiments. They have luggage storage available. Lift... More

The hotel is in between zhong San station and Taipei main station. If we are exit R4 or R5. If u exit from r4 the hotel is just at your left side. And behind a coffee joint call 85c . The main entrance is small. The hotel is about 10mins walk from Taipei main station. ( underground ) Room size... More

Only NTD 1890 a night for a double room with free breakfast. The hotel is not so new but really clean. Room is complete with free toiletries and complementary bottled water. The breakfast is the usual Taiwanese porridge with side dishes. Not really my taste but i am super surprised that we even have breakfast with the rate we are... More

Make reservation without deposit for foreigners, ask for show room before we paid. Receptionist was friendly. The lift is on 2nd floor. The room that we got is smelly but after informed them, they actually spray some air freshener, so is okay. Stay 4 nights, paying NTD1390/NTD1590 per night include with breakfast, however we only take breakfast for 1 day.... More

Stayed for 4 + 4 nights end Oct/early Nov. We were given a room on the 5th floor. Room is adequant (average small) and toilet/shower are separated from the room by frosted glass. It was until the last 2 mornings of our stay, we can hear loud noises from other rooms closing the doors before checking out like 7am in... More

We stayed at the Purple Garden Hotel at the end of March 2012. We were expecting a really bad experience after reading the reviews, however it was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is really well located next to a main underground station and there are many shops and quite good restaurants in the area. We were met by a very... More
