I haven't stayed at many hostels, but this is one of the nicest places I have stayed. I couldn't stop swooning over it as soon as I arrived. The staff are friendly and approachable and the common area downstairs is great for socialising. It is a great location, hidden in the back alleys but only a short walk from Guting... More

This is my second time to stay in Eight Elephants Hostel. This place makes me feel comfortable and the staffs are friendly. There are single room and 6 to 7 bed dorm within. If you don't have any experience of living in hostel, you can try to live in single room. On the other hand, there is a public area.... More

The accommodations are suitable for every price range--affordable dorm-style bunks to lovely single-room seclusion. It's clean, there are washers, dryers, a kitchen to use, and the location is great. I could talk about its convenience or how anything the traveler needs is either right on site or within easy reach. But what really takes the cake for Eight Elephants is... More

Is a great hostel, the staff was very nice, the whole place is very cozy and clean, I really enjoyed staying there. It is located near guting station and that is always convenient. Also I love wondering the little streets around the place, you can always find amusing stuff around.

I had been staying in this hostel for 4 times, staff is friendly and has good knowledge about the attractions and also services to the airport. Hostel is 3 Metro stations away from the Taipei Main station. This is the hostel to choose if you want a place near Taipei train station and not face the huge commuting crowd from... More

Eight Elephants was the first hostel I ever stayed at during my first experience travelling alone. All my anxiety and fears of being in a foreign country long term were quickly swept away as soon as I entered the hostel. Within five minutes (I kid you not) I made a couple really good friends. Over the next few days all... More

Eight Elephants definitely is one of the few hostel that you can call it as your hangout place. The staff were super awesome, very friendly and helpful. Often they do not left you alone instead wanting you to be part of family. It felt like home. The designs were funky and creative. Love how they did to the place!

Look no further if you're looking for a clean, comfortable, homely hostel on your next trip to Taipei. The staff are very friendly and I think it makes the hostel feel like it's family-run. My favorite part though was the basement living room, where there's usually a few other travelers you can meet. It's a small hostel (2 dorm rooms... More

I can only say good things about the place. If you're looking for a well located, cheap and with nice atmosphere place, you really should go there. Everybody is so nice there (both staff members and guests) and is easy to have such a nice time if this is your first time in the city. Even the couch is so... More
