I love Taipei, but Fortune Hiya Hotel gives the worst impression of Taipei to me. The rooms were dirty and the breakfast were poorly made. I encountered the worst ever hotel staff in that hotel. I asked for a male staff help in the front desk to make a booking to a restaurant. He refused and said I need to... More

This hotel was booked through our travel agent --and we (a family of 4) thought that we were staying at the Hyatt for 4 nights!! However, upon arrival at the Taipei airport--we were surprised that the hotel's name was spelled HIYA--there was something LOST in the translation, I guess. Nevertheless, when we arrived at the hotel-- we ready to be... More

Booked this room at 125US$ for a night in August. Upon check-in the staff was cordial. 5 Minutes after check-in in the staff called at room asking me to come down to make advance payment (Guess they forgot at the time when I checked in). I found the room Aircon not working. Asked them to change my room & pat... More

This hotel is nice outside but poor inside. The lobby is good. The corridor is modern. But room is small and poorly organized. Bathroom is extremely small (especially the sink). No Wi-Fi available. Small bed. Cleanliness is only acceptable. Air-condition is not working well (cannot adjust temperature). Breakfast is okay. Location-wise, it has some small convenience stores nearby (in Taipei,... I stayed at the Fortune Hyatt because it was the designated hotel for a trade show I was attending. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the public areas were generally acceptable for a 3-star hotel. Unfortunately, on 2 nights I found baby cockroaches crawling on the wash basin top, among my toothbrush and toiletries! I had dinner in the... More

After reading some of the negative reviews here i went to the hotel with my expectations lowered only to be surprised by what i have experienced. The premises i believe have been renovated before as mentioned by others. The rooms are relatively clean. However for our room, the towel holders are giving way and so far it seems the staff... More

Like one of your reviewers, I was quite apprehensive when my agent booked me and my friends into this hotel after reading some of your reviews. I insisted that we would not get rooms without windows! However, we were pleasantly surprised when we saw our rooms. Though the rooms were not big (we had earlier stayed a few nights in... More

The cleaners were very helpful, initiative to ring us up if we need to change our towels and other amendities although we have put up a request not to make up room. Overall this is one of a neat, clean & decent boutique hotel occupies by mostly Singaporean, Japanese and hkg customers.
