The service is excellent, but the hotel would certainly benefit from a refreshment/refurbishment. In addition, some dishes in the breakfast didn't seem very fresh. Considering the rates for the rooms at Sant Wan Residence, there are certainly much better deals around Taipei.

Stayed for 3 nights and i must say I will want to be returning. The hotel has a nice lobby with very grand furnishing. The lobby fragrance was a little overpowering for me though. Hotel staff was impeccable when it comes to service, courtesy, almost every staff speaks Japanese. I see a large portion of Japanese guests. On 1 evening,... More

Very good hotel, excellent room and eye for detail. Eg the room came with a standard built in EU electrical socket. Bottled water was complimentary. Good breakfast, and for those that lile Chinese food for breakfast there is more than enoigh choice. Location is in the heart od the city.

Booked this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews and could not have been more pleased with my decision. Beautiful facilities (although the rooms have a decided Japanese design) everything was immaculate throughout my stay. The hotel is also fortunate to have some outstanding local artwork distributed throughout the property. The staff is what truly set this place apart. The willingness to... More

What stands out the most in San Want Residences is the staff, with exception of temp help during breakfast. The genuine attitude and willingness to make guests' stay most enjoyable is the token to success in hotel hospitality. The 4-star hotel is well maintained, simple but functional. Its location is great, close to MRT with department stores nearby. The breakfast... More

Borderline between 4 or 5 stars. Would have no problem staying there again. Room is spacious, fancy, comfortable with really comfortable bed. Bathroom is well designed with a shower, bath, and mini hot tub inside. Maybe not 5 stars since isn't the best value for money in town--there are comparable hotels for slightly cheaper--but room itself is great and stay... More

The hotel service team is polite and very attentive but it does get to me that they have to greet you verbally each time, all 7 of them if they are all there, it is awkward. I would rather a gentle smile of acknowledgement, but maybe it is catered for the Japanese who may like this sort of treatment, as... More

We stayed at the San Want Residences on Nanjing East Rd. The hotel was several blocks away from an MRT subway stop, which made it a convenient location. However, it took longer to get the the MRT stop than it should have as lights to cross some of the streets are long (some cross streets did have underground paths which... More

San Want Residences ( not to be confused with the hotel of the same name) are small luxury units centrally located in sprawling Taipei. The bedroom is comfortable, though not large, with all of the expected amenities, though the bar fridge was only sparsely stocked. The bathroom is impressive with a step down Japanese style bath and huge rainfall shower... More
