First appearances it looked great. The rooms were a good size, had mozzie nets and reasonable bathroom. The outdoor area was clean and shady. What was the problem? First of all in the nice open air dining area the vibe was bad. Maybe it was just the particular people staynig there as the young bloke who worked there all day... more

It was my first time for a safari and I had the best guide - Gopal. He saw all the birds, Rhinos, Crocodiles, Deers and ... without problemes and he explained it to me and the others. That was really great and I only can recommend to stay here and to enjoy this experience. The last night I passed in... more

I loved my two night stay at the Parkside. Pickup and return to the airport was included by the owner. The facility was clean, attractive, simple, with pleasant garden. The owners are active in supporting the community through a sewing school and preschool across the street. The village is low key, easy to be in, and very close to the... more

Hotel Parkside has somewhat basic, but entirely acceptable rooms, but their staff are truly excellent especially if you need help arranging activities in and around Chitwan. They helped us to organize an elephant trek that avoided the hour-long walk through downtown that many tour operators include (not likely to see any rhinos there!), brought us to help wash the elephants... more

Had a fantastic time in Chitwan, Hotel Parkside, and in large part it is due to Mr. Gopal. - Our steward of Hotel Parkside. He was tireless in making sure we had an amazing, action packed adventure during the 3 nights we stayed there. From early morning canoe rides down the river, seeing massive numbers of wildlife, visiting and playing... more

We spent three nights with Parkside using it as our base for a visit to Chitwan National Park. The owner is a most impressive young Nepalese man. In addition to running a successful hotel operation he is clearly a community leader supporting school sponsorships for poor village children, training programs for women, youth football (soccer) leagues and an orphanage. He... more

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, and arrived there from the bus stand without having made a booking. The building is conveniently situated minutes of jeep away from the bus station, and we were made welcome with a drink while we had the opg the ortunity of checking the room before signing in. While there is nothing fancy... more

We arrived in Kathmandu and stayed at the Trip Advisor recommended Hotel Courtyard, where Michelle and Pujan really are as awesome as the reviews say. We had not yet made other plans as we wanted to see what our options were as well as what the weather might do, given that it was still monsoon season. Pujan set us up... more

There was a group of us who stayed at the Parkside. We can't say enough wonderful things about it! Gopal is so kind and helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. You should definitely ask for him! In addition to the clean rooms and friendly staff, the family who runs the hotel lives behind... more
