My husband and I just returned to Kathmandu from Narayani Safari Hotel in Chitwan. The staff were truly amazing! From the attentive wait staff for all generous meals, to knowledgable guide thru the elephant -back safari ( where we saw a mother and baby rhino and multiple other wildlife along the way) , to the dugout Tigris river canoe trip... If you are looking for a full on safari experience this is the place to be. The rooms are basic but clean with plenty of hot water and modern bathrooms. The food was amazing, everyday was like a feast which never ended. You get to feel the wild life up close and personal with the national park right in front.... More

Much more to this than just a safari on elephants. A bit of an education class about elephants, slideshow about Chitwan and the scandalous mass killing of endangered species in history, educational visit to local village. Food and accommodation basic but part of the experience.

Being in the jungle you cannot expect 5 star accommodation but this place is clean comfortable and in an optimum position overlooking the river, you can enjoy a cold beer and watch the locals go about their daily life. From this resort you can enjoy a number of activities including elephant rides, ox carts to the local village and traditional... More

This visit was the one part of our tour which I was not relishing. When I arrived my heart sank when I saw the simple lodges, after staying in some wonderful hotels. And to top it all I am not an animal love so had little to look forward to. what a surprise then to be looked after so well... More

You don't stay at Chitwan expecting a 5 star hotel. Chitwan is all about its location on the edge of the national park, which is superb. You stay in basic lodges with no tv or safe. But the rooms are spotlessly clean and there's loads of hot water. The lodges are semi-detached and the walls between are a little on... More

It may lack the stars of over-rated city establishments but this proved to be the accommodation highlight of our 2 week journey in India and Nepal. The setting is sublime and reminiscent of African safari lodges. Individual chalets have all the basic needs and a hot water bottle at night is a nice and welcome touch. The food is good... More

We arrived to Chitwan airport in the morning and were picked up by an arranged taxi cab. The ride was good but a little bumpy as we were driving through villages and roads were not always great. We felt as we were quite far from civilization. When we finally got to the resort we were blown away by its simple... More

Everything is basic but good quality from the individual bungalows to the good quality/ quantity of food. After an interesting journey the location was great overlooking the river. Free wi- fi appreciated as more expensive hotels lack such basic needs based on their profit motive/ greed. Staff very friendly, positive and good ambassadors for the area. Local activities with elephant... More

This was billed as the least "star rated" hotel on our trip, but for me and perhaps for several of the others in the group, it turned out to be a magical place. Basic bedrooms - yes. Basic facilities - yes. But we all had our own little lodge with windows front and back and mine came with a friendly... More
