Stayed in a twin room. Comfy bed and hot shower! (only annoyance was the moth balls in the plug holes!) Good location as it is only a few minutes walk to numerous restaurants and bars. Room was clean and hotel staff were very helpful. Located right by the lake. Reception was a wireless hot spot - though didn't use it... more

We reached Pokhara from Chitwan on Christmas Eve and it was late in the afternoon when we got there. We found Trek-O-Tel was just the right comfort to be in after 7 hours of bus journey . The daylight was still there and post freshening up we went for a boat ride in the serene waters of Pokhara Tal which... more

Any Western traveler expecting Western standards will be disappointed, but compared to Nepal, it's decent. It has a bit more atmosphere than most lakeside hotels and the location is more quiet. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is OK. That being said, cleaning standards are poor at best. Shower curtains never get cleaned, we saw several rooms and they're... more

the hotel is excellent, good amenities, very pleasant garden, attentive staff, our room was roomy, always fastidiously clean. The property is situated by the lakeside, a little away from the center which is an advantage or a disadvantage, depending on how much you need to go to the center, with an emphasis on "need". Within easy walking distance in any... more

This is the 4th times I stayed at Trek-o-tel. It's strategically located by the lakeside, where left & rights are restaurant, bars & shops. The rooms are very clean & beautiful. What I like most is the garden cafe. Very cozy ! more

Trek-O-Tel-is a good lakeside hotel to stay in Pokhara. The rooms in the back have a view of the Himalayan mountain range (if not obscured by the clouds). However, part of your view will also include roof-tops that are anchored by stones. The rooms in front of the hotel has a view of the lake along with the street. We... more

There are 6,000 hotel rooms in Pokhara chasing 600-1000 travelors on any given night. Trek-o-tel is one of the few that's fairly high end (perhaps 3-star for here, 2 for USA) without the high end price. It's on the south end of the Lakeside strip which makes it quieter and nicer than the super-hectic middle, but still within walking distance... more

walked in without a reservation in a down pur after a very long and uncomfortable bus ride from KTM. Was shown a room over the kitchen with a garden view and then asked to see a room with a lake view. It was perfect. Rooms are understated and elegant in an off-beat sorta way; extremely clean; bathroom had plenty of... more

We booked Trek-O-Tel based on the reviews in TripAdvisor and were really pleased. It's clean, spacious, and has a nice vibe about itself. Pokhara is a lovely little laid-back town full of happy Nepalese and western hippies and is very relaxed. Trek-O-Tel endorsed that feeling. The only downside about the place is that you can hear some noise from the... more

We spent 2 nights at Trek-O-Tel and were very pleased. It is in a convenient location and the rooms were spacious, clean, well maintained and very comfortable. When we arrived at the desk unbooked we negotiated a rate that was some 30% better than the rate displayed proudly at the street entrance (and full credit to them for being willing... more
