We stayed at Tiger Mountain for 6 nights in March. The location is magical. Waking up each morning and sitting in bed with a cup of tea and homemade biscuits looking out at the annapurna range is something I will never forget. The nature and in particuar the birdlife is truly spectacular. A special mention must go to our guide... More

Dear Claire2306, Many thanks for your great review. Yes, the lodge is an excellent base for birders (almost 300 species have been sighted on our birding walks including Nepal's endemic - the Spiny Babbler). Hari P and his colleagues, Jhalak the senior guide and Guest Relations/Operations Manager, Hari B and Sajan are all enthusiastic about exploring the area and showing... More

You will see that the vast majority of people reviewing Tiger Mountain have very good things to say about the place. I don't have much to add except to endorse what they have already said. Good service is one thing that is in short supply in Nepal - if you want to have fresh towels brought to the room, or... More

Dear Girlincostarica, Many thanks for your review - we are justifiably proud of the level of attention to detail and dedicated service provided by the staff. Thank you also for highlighting this and its special standard above the norms of the industry in Nepal. Pool seating - this is a problem when very busy as we do not have sufficient... More

We spent 2 nights here May 2012, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The mountain-top location is superb and guarantees magnificent vistas, but that's just half the story. The personnel are top notch and made us feel like king and queen. We enjoyed a complimentary walk around the hilltop villages with one of the local staff. As you walk through everyone... More

Dear pubdc, Many thanks for your great review. Yes the walks through the villages are quite a social experience - and this eneables a responsible level of interaction, fair and interesting for all parties. Being 30 minutes drive from Pokhara is one of our key assets! We are considering a shuttle bus to Pokhara (and already offer this for larger... More

We loved everything about this beautiful place. The bungalows were so pretty, fitting in with the local village feel. The rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was lovely with beautiful stonework and a large shower. The grounds were equally breathtaking, with gorgeous stone walkways and plants. Every meal was a pleasure, and our teenage boys enjoyed the food... More

Let me start by qualifying that I have travelled extensively both domestically and international and have been in the hospitality business for many years. I find short and simple reviews the best when warranted. Therefore, and quite simply, this IS how it should be done! We were able to dine with our gracious host, Marcus (thank you for your hospitality),... More

Dear CoffeeBuzzz, I hope you also enjoyed our organic, local coffee, from two of Nepal's leading plantations! Thank you so much for your outstnading praise. Comming from someone in the hospitality business, you appreciaite the team effort that it takes to "make it all happen." I loved dining with you - but without Lalu in the kitchen and Dol Raj... More

When you have tea served to your room while you're gazing at sunrise on the Annapurna range, you are able to forgive a lot of little miscues in service or quality. But fortunately, you won't have to. We stayed only two nights, but everything was perfect (or nearly so). Food was fabulous, service was attentive and cheerful, the grounds were... More

Dear Peter D, Thank you from all the team at TM Pokhara Lodge for your kind and positive review. Highly recommended.... Small lodge blends well with landscape and pristine surrounding community. Food EXCELLENT.... I have diet challenges and each and every waiter was well-informed of my needs.....sides and desserts modified especially for me. We travelled to the lodge last week with our daughter, 11, and although most visitors seem adults....the staff treated my daughter with special attention like hot... More

Dear Edward94, Thank you for your great review. Yes, we do not find any special dietary needs a threat - it is an opportunity for the kitchen team, led by Head Cook Lalu, to show their ability and innovation. Lalu enjoys the challenge! We stayed with friends here and found the views breathtaking. Unfortunately, although the staff were very charming and helpful and the food delicious we felt that the rooms were a little tired and we were very upset that after having just come from a weeks trek there was no shampoo provided in the rooms. Dear Fido0, Thank you for your review and positive reproting of our staff, food and views. There is a slight misunderstanding regarding the shampoo - it is not the container so much (although you are right about the plastic) it is the chemicals that are in the shampoo itelf that are the problem going direct into soak-away pits. We do... More

Dear Janet & Doug, Thank you indeed for your great review. Yes, Col.
