Since I first set foot into the Garden of Gauri Shankar GH 8 years ago, I was enchanted by it from moment one. You will always return and want to stay there while in Pokhara. As mentioned in all the reviews before, Judy/Ram/Harka/Krishna are the heart and soul Gauri Shankar. They make you feel at home and also the rooms... More

Gauri Shankar is a great guesthouse in South Lakeside, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Phewa lake. There are single and double rooms, but also a cheap and comfortable dormitory for the budget travellers. You will find many nice restaurants and shops around the guesthouse. I spent there one month while I was doing an internship. The guesthouse... More

Located just off Lakeside Road, Gauri Shankar is a great guest house with a beautiful garden and big, neat rooms. The people running the guest house are very friendly and always ready to help. I stayed at GS for 3 weeks while doing an internship and really felt like I had found a second home!

I am a photographer and a writer and I stayed in Gauri Shankar many times. They take care of me as family. The rooms are OK. Don't miss the breakfast in the garden. A pot of masala tea in this quiet, natural place is the best ever way to start a vacation day... :)

I stayed at GSGH with a friend, Lucy, for roughly 6 weeks while on a medical elective. It was, by far, the best guest house experience I have ever had. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by Ram who bent over backwards to find us a suitable room, ensure that we would be able to get to work... More

I only stayed at the Gauri Shankar guesthouse for a couple of days before and after trekking, but it made me feel at home right from the beginning. The staff is so kind and helpful, and although Pokhara is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, it was already a lot of fun just drinking masala tea in... More

Have now stayed at Gauri Shankar guest house 3 times and loved my stay every time! The owners and all the staff are friendly, helpful and make you feel at home. My stay in the dorm is the best value I've had so far for accomondation in Nepal. 200 rupee for a clean and nice 3-bed dorm. The beautiful garden... More

This place gives a very cosy feeling to anyone who walks in. The beautiful garden is a good place to meet people, enjoy a meal or to read. Rooms are basic and clean. Hot water in the winter is only available when there is sun in the block I stayed at. Nevertheless, it was good enough to have a good... More

Really nice people, here you're not a simple tourist. And on this lakeside's part isn't easy to find. The manager and his partners are very kind. The team is very carefuly. They want share ,...
