We had a deluxe room (free upgrade from lovely Mr Rajendra Dhakal the owner) and it was lovely. Free fruit & water in room & rating this room on Nepal standards (not European, it's not fair) it ranks 10/10. Super service & room service. I highly recommend Hotel Glacier to people visiting Pokhara who want a bit of comfort &... More

The first time we stayed in Pokhara it was 10 dollars a night. We came back a few years later and it was 40 dollars a night. So we found the Iceland guest house which is 10 dollars a night and way better.Truthfully ,if the Glacier Hotel were still 10 dollars a night,we would still go to the Iceland guest house. Also The... Good location in Pokhara. 5 min walk from the lake. 5 mins taxi from tourist bus terminus. Manager and receptionist are friendly. Hotel area and room are clean. Beds and mattress are comfortable. Very good Hot water for shower in the afternoon but water is cool at night in December. Western Food is good too. Recommend for stay. Noel (Hong... More

This review is a little late, but they deserve a good shout out so here I am. The manager/owner of this place is great, and very helpful. The rooms are well appointed and the location is central. The onsite massage is very very good. I stayed here for a couple of nights in April 2011 and while I do not... More

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Glacier. The room was cozy, clean, and we finally figured out how to use the hot water right when we were about to leave the hotel. We had to wait about 10 minutes with the faucet open before we could get hot water. I hope they can find a more efficient way to... More

My husband & I stayed for just one night as a Christmas gift to ourselves whilst on our otherwise budget trip to Pokhara. We met Mr Dhakal before we booked and he was very kind and upgraded us to a deluxe room. The room had a huge!!! 7ft double bed plus another single. The big bed had a sprung mattress... More

Location : On Lakeside, almost next to Hotel Trek-O-Tel. Convenient location, with shops and restaurants just outside, and the lake is right outside the gate across the street. Walking distance to the centre of the very central area of Lakeside, and I would say about 5 minute walk from the hotel to the boat station (Phewa Ghat) to the Hindu... More

The hotel is old colonial rather than Nepalese, with wide verandas and seating areas outside the comfortable rooms; the garden is a haven of peace. What makes this hotel unique, in our experience, is the superb support offered by Rajendra and his staff. He can provide unique trips and helpful advice making this a memorable stay. His manager helped enormously... More
