A little jewel in The middle of thamel. Incredible athmosfere of peace and joy. Created by two wonderful persons... Michelle and Pujan. Every time I go to Kathmandu this is my favorite place to stay. I always feel so welcome when I arrive.... Keep it up guys! Don't let this paradise goes in the wrong evil hands.

Love this place , Michelle and pujan are the greatest hosts in so many ways , from clean fresh comfortable rooms to recommendations of local tours and restaurants. The group meal cooked at the hotel each night by pujan is awesome and a great way to socialize and be guaranteed a perfect meal without costing a fortune. Have stayed here... More

I had read so many good reviews about this hotel, so I stayed there on my recent trip. Indeed the rooms are nice and clean and spacious (I can forgive the cockroach in the bathroom!) but I was really disappointed with the staff. They were not very welcoming at the desk and not helpful with our luggage at all. At... More

This is my fourth visit to the Hotel Courtyard, and I am sure will not be the last. Thank you once again Pujan, Michelle and all the wonderful staff at the hotel. This family run hotel is a gem in Thamel. It is situated in the heart of Thamel in a very quiet oasis. Don't expect 5 star luxury, because... More

This hotel is in a great location in Thamel, super close to all bars and restaurants. The hotel is set back off the street a little, which makes is beautiful and calm. There is a nice outdoor area with fans and the beds are delightful. They have back up generators, so the power (which cuts out in Nepal at least... More

Very centrally located in Thamel, this hotel is nice and relatively quiet, tucked off of a side street, although it's right in the centre of everything. The rooms are spacious and beautifully furnished, the staff are really friendly and helpful, and the outdoor courtyard area is a great space to relax in during the day. I stayed with my parents,... The Hotel Courtyard is in the Thamel area and off the main street. Off the main street means it is away from the crowds of tourists and street people trying to sell something to those crowds. I am a return guest and have been at the Courtyard with my wife and daughter as well as a solo traveller. You will... More

Great hotel. Great value for quality. Thamel is the main backpacker area of Nepal and can get noisy and traveller-y (harem pants anyone?). Hotel Courtyard is the perfect escape - it's set back from the road which minimises traffic noise and pollution. The large courtyard is a great breakfast/evening space to wake up or unwind. They provide a decent breakfast... More

I stayed here in October 2013 with two friends after returning from a trek in Annapurna. After a couple of weeks trekking this hotel was a wonderful place to return to a recuperate before our flight home. Three of us shared one bedroom which was absolutely huge and filled with beautiful furniture - I lucked out on the coin toss... More

My daughter had spend a couple of months based at the Courtyard when we visited. Whilst it's sited in the middle of the bustle of Thamel, the Courtyard's location down a side street creates an island of sanity and quiet. It has a "family" feel due to the care and attention of Pujan, Michelle and staff, whilst guests still have... More
