The people there are always lovely, so kind and have an infectious positivity about them! The rooms are excellent, we even got upgraded to the penthouse! Everything about it was fantastic, don't have a single complaint, can't wait to get back to Nepal and stay there!

The hotel is located in the prime location of Kathmandu- Thamel. What delighted us was the round the clock service, extremely well mannered and polite staff and the personal attention of the CEO. The food quality was good and was freshly made after the order got placed. The rooms were clean and the taps had hot water running all the... More

located 5 minutes walk through a pedestrian precinct from the heart of Thamel - Moonlight hotel offers a tranquil haven just a stones throw from the bustle of Thamel. The rooms were a good size, abundant hot water, impeccably clean and delightful staff. It was extremely cold in Kathmandu last week (Feb 1-7) but on request I was provided with... More

This was the first hotel we stayed after we touched down. It was a very horrible hotel. It was a very cold night and the main need was the heater and hot shower, so this was the first question we asked. Nevermind the peeling wall, the 50s air-conditioner and old bed. Upon asking, the receptionist provided confusing answers such :... More

The room was clean and they provided two botol of mineral water which we really need it (I suggest you to do not use tap water even for brush your teeth! Don't ever drink tap water). If you want to exchange money, this hotel gave good rate. The food in the restaurant was good, but just to warn you that... More

We stayed here at the start and end of our trek. The first room we got was, ok not much more. But when we came back we got room no 409. It was much better! The location is good, in center of Thamel but quite quiet surroundings so you can sleep undisturbed. Breakfast is "standard" Kathmandu type... Wi-Fi as Ursula,... More

This isn't the worst place to stay, and it's still popular among westerners and East Asians alike. But truth is, there is mould all over the bathroom, constantly awaken each morning by people visiting a shrine to ring a bell at 6am or earlier, and dogs barking all night long. Don't stay here and expect to get a good night... More

We stayed here twice, right before and after our trek to Everest Base Camp. We found the place to be run down and dirty. The floors were dirty, the bathrooms moldy, and the toilet barely functioning. A bucket caught the dripping water from the sink plumbing. Prior to the trek I had accidentally spilled a small spot of makeup on... More
