When we go to Kathmandu, we always return to the International Guest House. Just let them know your flight n7umber and they will give you a free pickup from the airport. We enjoy the hustle of Thamel, but it is nice to be able to escape into the lovely, quiet courtyard. I love to sit and read and drink ginger... More

Thanks for your love and care of us during this terrible time. You gave shelter to any who came from unsafe places. You made sure we were fed and safe and made calls out trying to organise our escapes. You, the managers and wonderful staff, made it as comfortable as possible for us and we thank you with love and... More

This has been my preferred hotel in Kathmandu for years but it is now suffering earthquake damage. Before returning here I phoned to check on conditions and was assured they were fully functional with hot and cold running water. What I found on arrival is that only 5 rooms were functional and that my room, along with the majority of... More

I stayed in International Guest House for 5 days, it was a very beautiful hotel, with an extractive courtyard. It has it own generator, so I had no problem with power shortage. The service was very good, the room was cleaned everyday. Great place. We hired the van to go around Kathmandu and the driver, Ram, was patient and nice.... More

Yep, this place is a good one! Super friendly and helpful staff. A one stop shop for all questions you may have. A nice hands lengths distance away from the manic Thamel streets. Good food, Good size rooms. Compared to other places of this price, it has an authentic Nepalese look and feel as well as a mighty fine grassy... More

I have stayed here in 3 nights. The rooms are clean and have a garden view. Breakfast is great. There are some thangkas on the wall which I think are antique. The manager organized a 2 days trip for us to nargakot and bharktanpur which charged us a reasonable price. But no wifi on the third and fourth floor.

I stayed here twice this month, I found the staff friendly and always willing to go out of their way to make you comfortable. Close to lots of little shops and always a taxi outside the gate. Power was an issue like most of Nepal but they run their generator and the front desk staff were will to charge my... More

This hotel is just outside Thamel, close enough to walk to restaurants, but far enough to be quiet. At $20 for a double w attached bath, its cheap by US standards, but maybe a little expensive for KTM. WIFI was reasonably reliable from the garden. has free airport pickup - but not drop off. The manager was very helpful in... More
