Our fourth trekking experience in Nepal was based out of this facility. As in prior visits the garden haven was a treasure. Improvements have occurred providing a dependable supply of hot water. The IGH's pleasant room service staff, gate security and porter bajes, dependable car service for airport arrivals and departures and comfortable beds are noteworthy. The culturally diverse menu... We had a good stay at the International Guest House. The hotel itself is nice enough with clean, warm rooms & has everything you need for Kathmandu. The staff were really friendly and very helpful and the location is great with a 5 minute stroll into Thamel City, while being nicely secluded off the busy streets. The restaurant was accommodating... More

Quiet and clean guesthouse just off the busy streets of Thamel. Rooms were clean and well appointed, hot water on demand and on site restaurant great for the included breakfast. Only negatives was the charge for a late checkout even when only half full and the Tv reception pretty poor although TV is not your priority in Kathmandu. If you... More

Very good guesthouse with a nice and quiet garden. Room very comfortable and affordable for a family of 5. Staff very helpful and polite. No wifi in room! Plenty of breakfast choices with great coffee! We will go again!

Yeah... this is a well established hotel in a great location on the edge of Thamel. Everything seemed a little tired and dated. The staff were not that enthused and it was quite expensive. Having stayed at other hotels in Kathmandu, I would't recommend this place in a hurry. It was OK and we had a real struggle to find... More

This is a guesthouse I have been staying in for years, having tried many others in Kathmandu. The rooms are small but comfortable and traditionally decorated. In recent years the bathrooms have been renovated and now there is always plenty of hot water. The garden area and the rooftop are beautifully looked after and give you a pleasant place to... More

I stayed at the International Guesthouse several times during my trip, and found it an easy, no-frills place to stay. However, it is quite run down and I think you can probably find other hotels which offer better value for money. Many of the rooms on the upper stories are without WIFI, the bathrooms are quite shabby, and some of... More

Booked through agoda which indicated free airport transfer. After finished trek in pokhara, I email the hotel my arrival time. They reply "Sorry, we do not pick up from domestic airport, please take a taxi" not a pleasant start. Once arrived by my own, I find that the staff is not friendly. Just want to finish his job. I ask... More

At first we had the standard room, nothing much to complain if you want to save on money; there was neither air cond nor fan but the disturbing thing was the windows was facing the front gate so we hear barking of dogs and closing of shutters in the middle of the night which really disturbed our sleep. The bathroom... More

We stayed two nights in this hotel. Our requirements for hotels aren't extremely high, but the rhino working at the office in front of reception really freaked me out. The small room we got the first night wasn't good at all> Dirty old walls with humidity and worn out furniture. Towels rather brown than white and utterly unpleasant toilet. We... More
