A great and strategic hotel to stay in Thamel, with a well-kept small garden view to have your sumptuous breakfast. The staff is friendly and helpful. If you have a choice, ask for room at the new wing.

i stayed there for two days, the place is central in Thamel (shopping and tourist area), very clean, with nice garden to have breakfast and good food. staff are nice and they provide pick up and drop off to airport. they also organize taxis for you. avoid high floors, stairs are exhausting sometimes and extra bed was not comfy. the... We enjoyed our stay at this hotel for the most part only a few things that brought it down for us. Firstly, it was pretty hot when we stayed and it was difficult to get comfortable at night, even without the sheet on, it would have been nice if there was a fan to turn on! Even though it said... My second stay in IGH was as pleasant as the first one (in 2010). The monsoon season (only 20% rain on average) made it that there was no full occupancy and I could choose my room. We were 3 and got a "super-deluxe-room" at the first floor of this nice 4-floor building. The price (42$) includes a very good choice... More

I stayed at the International Guest House with a group of eight more people during a 24 day stay in Kathmandu. The rooms were all very nice and had comfortable beds. The bathroom gave us a very unique experience that we had never experienced. We were pleasantly surprised to have hot water for our entire stay, although our room was... More

I've stayed here in 2 separate trips in a double and a triple. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff are welcoming and accommodating. Wi-fi is spotty on top floors but fine in lounge. Generator ensures power during load shedding. Gated hotel so feels safe. My other favorite parts of this hotel: -Free pickup from airport -Great breakfast spread... More

I am a teacher who recently traveled to Nepal with 15 of my students on a school trip. We stayed for three nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were extremely hospitable, the rooms were large and clean, the food was excellent, and the location was an oasis of calm in the midst of the craziness of Thamel. We... More

I was part of a volunteer group that stayed at International Guest House last summer. We stayed for almost 3 weeks in June and July. The hotel is in a quiet area at the border of Thamel. It is well maintained. The service is good and my room was cleaned every day. The mattress was very hard and there was... More

Unfortunately for me my flight was delayed in China for a day which meant I only got to stay one night here instead of two, but what a wonderful experience. The room was small and clean - perfect. The people here so polite - perfect. The little cute breakfast was great and the eating area was truly a little piece... More

My husband and I stayed here 4 times during our 65 days in Nepal. We chose this hotel based on the location, price range and the fact that they provided free pick up from the airport. Since we arrived early in February we got an off season discount for our first stay. The room was clean and comfortable and the... More
