We moved to the Tibet Guest House from the Hotel Ganesh Himal, and it was a step up. It was a little more expensive, but worth it. The had large rooms, free wifi in the lobby and rooms on the lower floors, and a nice roof deck with great views of the city. It is in a good location for... more

The free airport pickup was on time from our international flight. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large with a decent shower and bathroom. The meals at the place were great - with them offering a buffet breakfast as well as decent sized salads at lunch. You could also change currency at a decent rate and... more

Have stayed on three occassions here on visits to Kathmandu and out of numerous hotels in Nepal this is one of my favorites. Good: Friendly Staff, Decent Rooms, Good Food, Great Value Rates, Home to many friendly travellers without losing that cosy feeling. Bad: Rooms are getting a little tired, bathroom may not be sparkling... Verdict: I don't think you'll... more

First, let me say that any lodging in Kathmandu is going to be quite different from what one would expect in the States. But I found my rooms (I stayed in two different rooms over the course of a month) to be comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant next to the lobby serves what I... more

very nice clean rooms in the most exciting location in kathmandu, if you are traveling there for the great treking and other outdoor activities then the guesthouse is located in the heart of the backpacking and trekking area. far enough away from the roads to get rest with out listening to scooter horns all day. rooms are very clean and... more

This was my 5th time in Nepal and the best place I have ever stayed in. I stayed for two months and loved it. Nothing was a problem to the wonderful staff and my own family couldn't have looked after me better. It was neither cheap nor expensive but incredible value for money and the rooms were clean and well... more

Great location: it's five minutes walk from here to heart of the Thamel, 20-30 minutes walk to Durbar square or Swayambunath. they are really helpful for getting information, changing rooms, arranging your own tour around the city, finding places and.... there is a tour office located other side of the street with a nice man who can arrange some tours... more

We stayed at the Tibet Guest House and it was a very good experience. It's located in the middle of Thamel where there are lots of shops and great deals on clothing, jewelry, and rugs. The staff was very accomodating, friendly, and ready to offer tips on good places to eat and shop. Prepare yourself for power outages during the... more

The lack of electricity let this hotel down for me during my stay (but I suppose you choose to go to Nepal to get away from that...). I needed to recharge a bunch of batteries, a Laptop and stuff and was not able to do so - and certainly not the hotels fault! The internet facility was wifi and pcs... more
