After 6 weeks touring India, coming to this hotel was a big change in scenery and decoration. The colours, pictures and furniture inside were extraordinary....the rooms were adequate and clean, the food very good, the bartenders at the bar extraordinary. It is located in a very quiet part of Katmandu. There are lots of trekking people meeting there I hope... More

Great location, great staff, lovely food and breakfeast on the roof to top it all off. It was terrible to hear about the earthquake we hope you are all ok . The staff were really helpful the security staff and the bell boys were great.

The first impression when I entered the lobby, I was wowed by the authentic ancient looking lobby. With the Tibetan paintings and artifacts. But once you walk pass the dark corridor leading to your room, you will realise that the rooms are also as ancient as the lobby. The carpet is dirty with waterspots, the bathroom is dimly lit. There... More

We stayed at Hotel Tibet in Katmandu several weeks prior to the earthquake and returned the day before. The hotel is very comfortable, very clean with reasonable sized rooms, the staff polite and extremely helpful and the food lovely. There is a lovely rooftop garden area that serves meals and drinks and which has free wi fi. It is in... More

I spent a lot of time trying to choose where to stay for a few nights before I joined a trek. The hotel is so beautiful and there are beautiful Tibetan carpets hanging everywhere. The staff are so helpful and polite and helped with any uncertainty I had. The room was very peaceful and spacious. Plenty of hot water and... More

Having spent a month here, it is difficult to fault Hotel Tibet. Staff were exceptionally good natured and friendly, yet efficient. Rooms very comfortable. Food very good, and generally facilities excellent. Virtually only gripe was wi-fi which was at best variable, and at times unusable. Otherwise highly recommended.

The hotel with beautiful Tibetan architectured interior. Courteous restaurant and bar staff. They always serve you with a smile. The Hotel location was great and away from noisy street. The rooms are cozy and with good hot shower.

As a single female traveller I felt really safe and respected. I asked for a quiet room with a view & was on the 5 th floor with rooftop views & an oblique view of the stupa. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean & very comfortable. Breakfast on the roof terrace was excellent. The Nepali traditional set meal was the... More

A lovely, clean hotel with helpful staff. It is on the main road in Kathmandu, but rooms are quiet and comfortable. There is the cosy little Yeti bar in which to relax after a busy day site-seeing. The hotel is a short walk from the Bodhnath Stupa, where there are lots of good eating places. There are ATMs near the... More

We stayed at the Hotel Tibet, in Kathmandu, prior to and post our Mardi Himal trek. This is a lovely and quaint hotel nestled away from the frantic hustle and bustle of Kathmandu, yet only a 15 minute walk away from Thamel, one of the tourist hubs. We loved our stay here. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and... More
