Considering the scale of the earthquake that hit on the 25th April, Hotel Manang continued to stay open although many staff returned to their villages and their families. You would not have known there was an earthquake aside from the very few hotels that were open and the electricity that was yet to be reinstated across many parts of the... More

Let me say that my stay at Hotel Manang was awesome. The hotel staff were courteous and did make me comfortable. Excellent food. I did stay there for 10 days immediately post earthquake and let me say that the building is earthquake resistant and safe. I wish the Manang team all their very best.

It landed in Manang a day after Nepal's quake. The staff is very cooperative and it has a 24x7 restaurant which is thronged tourists, The food is good and services are also nice. Hotel's food and beverage manger is fun to talk to. And so is it's owner Deven Giri. He comes to meet the guests personally and asks whether... More

My wife and I started our trekking to Everest Base Camp starting with a few nights at this clean and friendly 3 star Hotel. Whilst on trek the earthquake struck. My wife had to be flown out due to severe chest infection whilst I walked out. My wife, after release from hospital spent the week at the Hotel. When we... More

I spent two nights at Manang, one at either end of my week-long trip in Nepal. On the whole, I had a pleasant stay. This hotel provides basic amenities and the staff are courteous and willing to help. The rooms' fit-outs vary greatly and so it may be worth asking for a different room if you are not happy with... The hotel was in a great location near the shopping bazaar of Thamel. Hotel management was very welcoming, checking to make sure all was well and made us feel like we were a part of the family. The only negatives were the dust from nearby roadworks, the power outages which occur across Kathmandu and the poor internet connection on our... More

The hotel is located at Thamel Area, just walking distance for heart of city. They gave me old room first which was smelling like a hell, toilet was very bad. But the new room was very good. Food was not upto the mark... Staffs are very nice in Thamel Basecamp Restaurant. Receiption staffs are busy most of the time in... More

In our 37 days in Nepal, we spent 9 nights at Hotel Manang and came to really appreciate this lovely hotel. The staff is friendly and accomodating, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are clean. Currency exchange, laundry service, room service, and in-room wifi are available. The breakfast is substantial, the restaurant serves a variety of dishes, and just... More

Apart from the fact that there is no LIFT in the hotel, it was quite a hospitality that we experienced. Good rooms, food, staff, management & great location. Lots of nightlife around the hotel and helped me to get in the grove.
