From the moment we entered the Dwarika's Hotel we knew we were in a most special and Zen like environment... We were greeted with a huge smile by a kind hearted man , Mr. Shiva Devkota, the manager! After our long flight from New York he made us feel most welcome and at home ..assuring us that if we needed... More

Dwarika's is a welcome sanctuary within the somewhat chaotic Kathmandu. The staff were lovely; the food fantastic (Mako's Japanese restaurant especially delicious); the rooms beautiful; and the atmosphere just outstanding. Architecturally and aesthetically, the place is stunning. I recommend Dwarika's highly.

After a week on the road on a volunteer mission, to arrive at this stunning hotel felt like reaching an oasis after a long trek in the desert. A former palace, the hotel (let's call it a resort, that's how it feels) has spacious grounds, beautiful areas to chill on a day bed, ample choice of restaurants and bar areas... More

We were there during mid December 2014 with our family and stayed for 3 nights in this beautiful hotel. Rooms - we were upgraded to family suite which we were thankful to their management. Rooms are large and have enough space with all the amneties. Except dont expect any external views from the windows but can view the internal court... More

It was absolutely beautiful how the place is set up in the middle of the busy city. It is just perfect where it is actually. You could reach almost any tourist destination with in an hour. The services were as good as it should have been. I feel proud that we have place like this in our country and always... More

As was previously mentioned, Kathmandu is a tumultuous mix of exotic sounds, sights, colors, and tastes for those of us visiting for the first time. The Dwarika offered an oasis to regroup before setting out for another day of exploring. Warm welcoming staff; very large, impeccably clean and beautifully appointed rooms; many choices on the menus; spacious courtyard lovingly groomed;... More

This is my second time at the hotel and was not disappointed. I think I loved the hotel the second time even more. They have perfected every part of this hotel. From the moment you walk in it smells like heaven. The rooms are spacious and have a great energy in them. Everyone at the hotel goes beyond their way... More

What can I say that hasn't been said ? It is a beautiful hotel with beautiful rooms. A fresh of breath in hectic Kathmandu. Close enough to Thamel ( half an hour) and you can find taxis at affordable prices. The staff is nice, food is good, clean rooms beautifully decorated. Stay here. You will not regret it. Prices are... More

I have never loved a hotel until now. Kathmandu is dirty, noisy, and crazy. Dwarikas is another world. Slightly out of center, built as a large compound with all windows facing the huge interior square, Dwarikas is tranquil. Your room is spotless and furnished with antiques. The buildings themselves incorporate thousands of carved wooden windows and other decorative elements salvaged... More
