This is our favorite to finish a trek or climbing trip. After wallowing 4 weeks in dirt, dust, donkey droppings and the occasional cold water bucket shower, this place is like paradise. Level of service is tops, it is in a world class league and would compare favorably against any of the top chains. We love the architecture and the... More

Nepal has won 2 Heritage Awards, one for the Bhaktapur Medieval city and the other is Dwarika’s Hotel. The location is right to the centre tourist area/cross to the Royal Palace. I really like the architecture, the garden and the exclusive Krishnarpan Restaurant. The restaurant serves traditional Nepali meals up to 22 variety. The ritual and steps of dining (before,... More

Nepal is not what you will expect. It is in the pantheon of the great old cultures….Machu Picchu, Angkor Wat, Petra…wonderful old civilizations that will reward you with novel insights and rich unique cultural highlights. The hotel is resurrected from the hand-carved windows that were going to be destroyed for kindling and is highly complementary and derivative of Durbar Square,... More

This is the one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in for three main reasons: incredibly warm and genuinely friendly staff, a stately old building that has been lovingly restored with class and care, and a wonderful breakfast! When I asked the ground staff to give me a little privacy as I swam very early in the... More

We arrived after a long flight and were delighted with the warm welcome and our room - the only major let down was the position of the hotel away from any other good restaurants as the food here was really only average - in retrospect we would have liked to have the comfort of this hotel combined with the ability... It is unbelievable that just a few meters from Kathmandu's hustel and bustle there is a place like this. Tranquility and peace, that is what you find here. Each room decorated like a masterpiece. If you want to top it pay a visit to the Spa. No other place to stay when in Kathmandu.

This is THE place to stay before and after trekking the Himalayas. We could forget the noise and pollution of Kathmandu, unwind in impeccable surroundings and had warm greetings from all the staff. We felt we got special attention at the Fusion Bar from Misters Ram, Jawad and Keshav. The room service was a matter of minutes. The only thing... More

This hotel is an excellent choice when in Kathmandu. Remember where you are. This hotel has very good western standards and a very attentive staff. Adding to what others have already said about the hotel: We enjoyed the bar and restaurant. It was happy hour at the bar which meant if you ordered one drink you got two delivered, not... More

Dwarikas is our favourite hotel in the world. All the staff are excellent especially Ram and his team in the bar who make us feel welcome and at home. Service is at a high standard that is not commonly seen in Nepal. We highly recommend the hotel to stay, and fusion bar for a drink.

My husband and I stayed at the Dwarika's Hotel for a few nights and were extremely satisfied with the hotel and its complex. It is an oasis in the middle of a very overcrowded, noisy and polluted city, yet you walk into this hotel and feel like you have gone back in time. The restoration of the hotel and its... More
