Eight years ago I stayed in this amazing hotel. The history of its founding and development was moving and special. The saving of architecture and artefacts from ancient Nepal with which to build the hotel was a far sighted and noble achievement. The service, welcome, facilities , food were all excellent.I remembered this experience and today found out that the... More

Stayed here for 3nights during our Nepal trip, overall it was an excellent experience. The hotel is beautiful as are the rooms. What we most liked though was the hospitality shown to us by the hotel staff. As well as being both professional and polite, everyone we met was so happy and friendly. We loved our stay in Nepal, if... More

It's totally safe and sustained no damage!! The Dwarika's Hotel is uniquely stunning and an experience that should not be missed--it is honestly worth every penny (and anywhere else, this hotel would easily be triple the price). I arrived exactly one week after the earthquake and as I entered the hotel, you would never know that there was any problems,... More

So look this hotel is definitely an experience, its a beautiful structure, and the rooms are huge (again I booked a suite so Im not too sure about how the normals stay). The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was enviable and the waterfall shower was-dare I say it, yes I will: romantic. The pool is great, the facilities in the... More

What a beautiful, peaceful place!! Rich in cultural heritage and history. The warm and welcoming staff takes care of all your needs. Lunch in the courtyard is always a delightful experience, and having fresh mint tea brought to you while reading and relaxing in the library is good for the soul. The sumptuous beds--with hot water bottles, if needed!-coax you into... More

The history of this hotel makes it one of a kind. Just to walk around and enjoy the fine details and abundance of historical objects makes it worth a visit even if you're not spending the night. However, as a resident the rooms, spa and commitment to exceptional service by everyone with whom we came in contact makes this a... More

We decided to switch from Yak and Yeti to Hotel Dwarika for two nights given the reviews we saw online and tripadvisor. The hotel is architecturally lovely and definitely an oasis from busy Kathmandu. We were glad we had a chance to stay here for those experiences. However, location is not great and realistically the hotel courtyard is very small.... More

This place is so special. The intricate wooden carvings everywhere are so gorgeous; it is indeed a living museum. The rooms and staff are great. The traditional thali dinner is very nice. A tranquil retreat in the otherwise chaotic city of Kathmandu.

The Dwarika’s Hotel in Kathmandu is literally a ‘living museum’. The décor and the attention to detail are just amazing. The furniture, décor, fixtures and fittings are just really quite extraordinary. The Dwarika’s Hotel is well located for exploring the city. It's not cheap but worth it if you are not restricted by budget. I would say that this is... More

Although this lovely restored hotel is in the midst of the chaos that is Kathmandu, as soon as you step through the hotel gate it's like a quiet, peaceful oasis, totally separate from the noise, garbage and pollution. The hotel and grounds are immaculately clean, and beautifully scenic with an outdoor pool and several seating areas, several restaurants to choose... More
