This is a stunning hotel which showcases reclaimed Nepali architecture and artefacts and supports ancient trades by using indigenous artisans for non-reclaimed items. It is a refreshing change from corporate, homogenous offerings. The hotel was immaculately clean and smelt wonderful - I was told it was citronella. The staff were welcoming, polite and attentive. Good food with plenty of choice.... More

we stayed at the Dwarikas hotel during our stay in Kathmandu. The hotel is an oasis in the heart of the city. The Nepal artifacts through out the hotel adds to the feeling of going back to old Kathmandu. The rooms were great and the staff attentive. I would stay at no other hotel than the Dwarikas.

The hotel is in historical buildings which have been magnificently restored with love for the details. Spacious rooms, several restaurants in the property, a SPA and swimming pool area. Peaceful place especially considering that it is situated in the middle of a chaotic and polluted city. Free access to the business center, however in oder to use WI-FI in the... More

I recommend The Dwarika's Hotel with my eyes shut. A very beautiful property, nicely decorated and very charming. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Food and service are great and the staff very friendly and helpful. It's an oasis in the middle of a busy and noisy city. The location is great, very close to the International airport and to... More

Beautiful and peaceful hotel close to Kathmandu airport and convenient for the city centre. Good bar with helpful staff. Lovely rooms. But two criticisms: (1) Why does. A hotel of this quality think it appropriate to give free wifi in the bar and by the swimming pool, but charge for it in the rooms; and (2) the meals in the... More

Having spent a week in Nepal, I am completely at ease to recommend the Dwarika Hotels as the best in the country. It is simply a unique place trying to preserve the culture of ancient Nepal. It is refreshing that someone cares about preserving the culture of a country and displays artifacts from times past to show visitors the rich... More

We stayed at this hotel for two nights after spending 2 weeks in Nepal. It was our last hotel before leaving for home so we saw it as a kind of resting place and as a nice quiet end to our busy trip. It is indeed a beautiful hotel but I have a few issues with it. For one thing,... More

An amazing property, beautifully decorated with traditional artefacts! Spacious and charming rooms, excellent service, great food in a beautiful setting. One of the best hotels that I've ever stayed at. I would highly recommend this property to any traveller visiting Kathmandu.

I came to this hotel having done 3 weeks in Tibet including a Mount Everest North Face trek at very high altitude well above base camp. I was very tired and the journey from Tibet had taken 2 days. Kathmandu's Friday rush hour traffic did not help my state of mind....so my surprise was complete on going through the front... More

Wow. This boutique hotel is absolutely stunning. It's as if you're staying in a Newari palace. Accommodations are spacious with every amenity you might need. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. This is a peaceful, elegant oasis in the middle of the craziness of Kathmandu. Considering that a cab ride to Durbar Square or Thamel is only $3-$5, we...
