The Hotel is glorious and the setting magnificent. Next to Buddha, one of the most exotic parts of Kathmandu...a small Nepalese island in the middle of urban Nepal. But there's a sense of something missing...The rooms are classy and comfy and huge and high ceiling and all but characterless...they lack these small tiny details to make them unforgettable... The bed... More

My parents and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency, Kathmandu, both times we were in Nepal and enjoyed it profusely. The hotel is right behind the Boudhanath stupa (choose to get a room with that view if you can), which essentially offers you a view of the city and mountains behind the stupa! Gorgeous! Rooms were large and clean and... More

Stayed 3 nights , 2 before trip to jungle and 1 on return. Marvelous 5 star luxury , a great treat , as was the whole of Nepal after experiences in India. On 1st stay we were a little unwell( after India) so whilst being able to appreciate breakfast missed out on evening food. On return we were able to... More

The architecture of this hotel is very nice, as other Hyatt hotel chain buildings. We stayed at Club room floor and the room is clean although it needs a lot of make up over (small things). Lovely breakfast, good selection on canapé and drinks at Club Lounge. But Hyatt service is top notch! Would stay in this hotel again when... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. Your appreciation about the hotel architecture and the service is very encouraging. Regency Club with its additional services is a choice many of our guests enjoy within the confines of the lounge on the sixth floor overlooking the Boudhanath Stupa. We are very happy to know you enjoyed your stay well enough that... More

We had a nice stay - quiet, comfortable with great beds for quality sleep - and the view was great from the 4th floor - however we found the property falling short of Hyatt's international standards - dirty carpet, not enough light especially in the bathroom, etc. It's walking distance from Boudanath, not far from the beautiful Kopan monastery (must... Decent hotel in a nice location but don't think it's up to the general Hyatt standard. It felt a bit dated in all the public spaces but especially the guest room. Our room is of a good size but it was rather barren and not particularly comfortable. The floor was very scratched and rugs a bit dirty. The furniture possessed... More
