We stayed in the Hyatt Regency in June 2015 (post earthquake). The staff and facility was outstanding. I felt secure that if there were aftershocks, I would be taken care of (I did not experience any aftershocks)--there was even a flashlight in my room. I recommend this facility highly for its comfort and excellance.

The Hyatt Regency in Kathmandu is a beautiful place to stay under normal circumstances. Sitting in lush gardens it is an oasis in this busy city. Very nice rooms, overall design and great staff service are a treat. Having stayed there during the big 7.9 earthquake, however, showed me the true skill of the hotel's management and the dedication of... More

My stay was very brief so it is hard to comment on everything you could experience. The atmosphere is phenomenal, a bit old world feel with the wood throughout the facility and lots of stone. I awoke early and the staff provided coffee out on the upper patio so I could watch the sunrise. Wish I could have had more... More

The Hyatt Regency Hotel has the most enviable location and spectacular grounds and views. This large hotel offers comfortable accommodation with good facilities and well-appointed hotel rooms. This Kathmandu hotel offers guests a spectacular swimming pool to unwind on those hot and dusty days and splendid gardens in which to relax. The Hyatt Regency Kathmandu is less than a mile... More

Spread over an expansive property, the Hyatt is surely one of the finest hotels in Kathmandu. I stayed here for a week while on a business trip. Rooms are spacious with the usual amenities. The iron press for the clothes had a problem which was promptly attended to even though I informed the reception around midnight. I am a vegetarian... More

My husband I were trying to decide between Dwarikas and the Hyatt for a weekend 'retreat' - my husband lives and works in Kathmandu. Ultimately, our choice boiled down to price - the Hyatt is significantly less expensive and was willing to offer a special package (probably due to lower occupancy following the earthquake) whereas there was little flexibility with... Due to terrible weather our flight arrived in the evening instead of the morning. As we were en route to Bhutan this time, we only had 12 hours here. In spite of this it was a very pleasant sojourn. Service good, espec the porters, breakfast excellent, and rooms spacious and up to the usual expected Hyatt standard. Sad that the... More

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency at the beginning and end of our trip to Nepal in April (just before the earthquake). I can honestly say that the hotel is splendid. My daughter and I found our way to the Hyatt right after the earthquake hit because we had booked a room for the day before our scheduled flight that night. An taxi from Thamel to here cost us 300 NPR and it was like coming into another world. Wonderfully relaxing quiet location. Huge, huge rooms with reasonable free internet (we didn't feel the need to upgrade to the paid for service). Wonderful bathroom with a separate shower and bath - clear water unlike the Radisson which only ever delivered murky... More
