We stayed at the Hyatt Regency at the beginning and end of our trip to Nepal in April (just before the earthquake). I can honestly say that the hotel is splendid. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms gorgeous. The main entrance sets the scene and you feel very special being greeted by the staff and listening to the traditional... More

My daughter and I found our way to the Hyatt right after the earthquake hit because we had booked a room for the day before our scheduled flight that night. We were so fortunate that we did, because we had a safe location to stay at. As other reviewers have already mentioned, all of the staff at the hotel went... More

An taxi from Thamel to here cost us 300 NPR and it was like coming into another world. Wonderfully relaxing quiet location. Huge, huge rooms with reasonable free internet (we didn't feel the need to upgrade to the paid for service). Wonderful bathroom with a separate shower and bath - clear water unlike the Radisson which only ever delivered murky... More

Earthquake on the 25.5.2015. One can see from plenty of other reviews that: customer care, information provided, priority on security for guests and employees, F&B provided to everyone (not only hotel guests), shelter provided to everyone (not only hotel guests) and so on was managed perfectly under the circumstances. We will in any case we were lucky to be there... More

My wife and I spent our anniversary here. We really enjoyed our stay here. We spent the night before leaving and the night after returning from a trek to Lukla/Namche Bazaar. The rooms are huge and comfortable and the hotel property is very beautiful. We really enjoyed the pool and it was very relaxing after trekking for so many days.... More

Having just returned home from an extended holiday abroad, I finally have time to sit down and not only write this review, but thank the staff of this hotel. Arriving on Friday, 24APR15, we only had two days in Kathmandu, a place I hadn't visited previously. The hotel staff was waiting at the arrivals area to drive us to the... More

It's my sixth stay at this hotel in the Kathmandu area. The hotel is about 15 min walk to the Boudanath stupa. If you stay in a "stupa view" room then you would see it from afar, giving you a serene and peaceful feeling at night when it's lit up! Room begin to show wear and tear even though hotel... More

located a bit away from tourist Thamel, you can walk out the back gate to Bouddanath in a few minutes. The common rooms are spacious with a twist of Traditional but the entrance looks like large pond without the water. Service was great, but ned a taxi to go anywhere. Rooms were fine, typical of a 5 star hotel in... More

We had an excellent stay at the Hyatt Regency for 2 nights with wonderful service and staff. We were about to leave when the earthquake struck. The staff were simply fabulous and welcomed everybody as their guest, whether they were staying their or not. They provided food, water and bedding for all, and also welcomed the local people in. The... More

It is difficult to add anything to the two recent reviews 'The True Response...' and 'Kathmandu Earthquake Experience...' that sum up the amazing care and concern shown by every member of staff during the recent earthquake under the superb leadership of Sinead O'Reilly Hennell, the general manager. They continued to provide meals, free phone calls, bedding, guidance and moral support... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback and support. The earthquake that hit on April 25 is indeed a tragic incident and our colleagues have worked tirelessly since the quake to support the guests, colleagues and neighbors need by providing first aid, food and shelter in spite of many having lost family and homes themselves. Thank you for your recognition... More
