Tayoma in Japanese language means, end less mountain. Well, to find a decent room, one must keep going up in this hotel that doesn't have elevator. The hotel is running purely with the help of Chinese visitors, hence, you will only find Chinese food here. A good room will cost more and is available on top floor terrace. Even those... More

We didn't book this hotel but ended up staying here, and we were glad that we did. We had rooms at the back of hotel and it was quiet and bed seems hard but quite comfortable, we had good sleep every night. The roof top terrace was a good plus, after a day walking in the dusty KTM, we got... More

I stayed here for three nights in total. If you have trouble sleeping, Thamel will be a struggle for you regardless, but the first two nights I spent in room 204. It felt like I might as well be on the street. After a trip out of the city I then spent one night in room 107. Ahhh, the interior... More

Wanted to spend a night in Thamel. Landed in this hotel via a Chinese friend's recommendation. Friendly staffs, clean space. Two buildings - new one has spacious rooms. Roof top view is nice but I stayed at 1st floor. Nothing special with restaurant or bar. Ok bedroom. Box tv. Everything worthy for what I paid.

If you are looking for luxury then this is not the place for you. It has only fans which was good enough for us but climbing the stairs was tiring. The breakfast is not all that. Just a little something to fill your stomach before you start your day. However it was good enough as base to roam around Kathmandu... More

Stayed in this hotel on and off for over a month and the staff were so lovely to us treating us as part of the family. We left for a trek twice and left a large box of our belongings with them both times for no extra charge. The rooms are spacious with TV and telephone for room service and... More

Stayed here on three occasions in October/November of this year. The hotel is fairly basic but has everything you need and expect. The showers are usually hot (not always, try letting them run for a few minutes if cold and eventually some warmer water should appear!). The hotel staff provide a warm welcome and will go out of their way... More

Setting out on foot, I checked out over 24 different places (a collection of hotels and hostels) in Thamel, Kathmandu. This place was by far the best choice. Air Con/Heating and full clean kitchen with fridge and gas stove (as you walk around Kathmandu - you will see how impossible this is to find). The staff are very friendly and... More

This hotel has a lot going for it: excellent location, fantastic staff, clean, great roof top bar and public areas. I could also see that most of the rooms here are of an excellent standard. Unfortunately the room we stayed in (standard) had lot wrong with it: broken telephone, lights, fan and bathroom door handle I would stay here again... More
