I was told by the tour agency in my country that this is a four star hotel but in my opinion it only has a 2.5 star standard. The hotel is basic. There was no lift but the hotel staffs helped us with our luggages to our rooms on the 3rd floor. There was no air-conditioning. My room came with... More

Stayed here as part of a package. central location. we were on the top floor. the ceiling was low and the room very cramped and stuffy. two single beds. water hard to regulate - either dangerously hot or cold. the breakfasts were especially poor quality. if you arrived after a big tour party had eaten, expect to find a small... Stayed two nights as part of a tour package. Room was clean and comfortable but the two nits common to older hotels. The lighting is terrible and there aren't enough conveniently located electric outlets. Yes there are barking digs as others have noted but that would be true throughout Thimpu. But there is a nice desk work area, free wi... More

Good location in the main part of Thimphu. Rooms are OK by local standards but hotel appears aged. Major problem with dogs barking at night which is worst in rooms facing the back. Restaurant is also OK but not great.

We only stayed here one night (our first night in Bhutan) and were pleasantly surprised. We had just finished trekking in Nepal and were pretty much expecting similar average accommodation. We had a very comfortable room (as did our son in the room next door) with a very clean en-suite with shampoo/shower gel etc supplied and a great supply of... More

A modern, comfortable hotel - hot shower, good wifi and TV, free sauna and steam bath. May lack standout points but quite sufficient for a good night's sleep after a day out travelling, and close to shops for grabbing souvenirs. Food gets tiring fast but to be fair that goes for food in Bhutan in general. Our beds were left... More

Excellent place to stay in Thimphu, perfect central location next to Clocktower Square, and with a couple of blocks of all the bars, ( The Zone was the best). There is no lift but there are only 3 floors and you don't have to carry your bags anyway. I had a very large room on the top floor which was... More

I stayed in this hotel during a tour of Bhutan with Overseas Adventure Travel. This hotel is right in the center of Thimphu and thus a great location. Bhutan is a wonderful country to visit. The hotel could use some updating. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. The service in the hotel was good but the food was very average.... More

This was my favorite of all the hotels I stayed at. It was clean and a great location. The food in the morning was great, and I enjoyed using the steam room. When its time for your bags to go, they are right there. There is a great pub place called the zone that is walking distance and has great... More

We had a standard room for 2 nights. From our room on the second floor at the back we could see one end of the archery and watch the celebration dances! Make sure you don't get a room which looks straight out onto the next door apartments, though and remember there is no lift. We were quite happy with the... More
