We spent two nights here in Oct'08. This hotel is right around the corner from the Druk and is in a great, central location. We were able to walk to many places (restaurants, internet cafes, the weekend market, etc). There's also a fairly good grocery store very close (by the Druk). The rooms and facilities are amongst the best in Bhutan after the Aman, Uma etc. The location is good for walking around Thimpu's sites. However, we did have issues with the reception staff. We had booked and paid for an upgraded room and documentation to show. But the hotel allocated a standard room. After much arguing, our bags were moved... more

Other than the Uma in Paro, this is the most modern hotel we stayed in in Bhutan. Staff are very friendly and helpful. It is clean, centrally located and the rooms are fitted out with a hair dryer and there is supposed to be wireless access (for a fee) in the rooms but it wasn't working while we were here.... more
