Hotel Tandin was a good hotel and was suprisingly cheap. I remember we paid around 1000 bucks a night. The room was really huge and the walls were finished with wood, making the room nice and cozy. Had a small balcony and a nice sized toilet/bathroom with 24 hrs hot water. Its on the main street in thimphu making is... More

The rooms are neat and spacious, Bathroom is spacious and clean. There is a separate balcony. Wifi available on payment of ng 100 per day. The staff are friendly and meticulous. Mineral water is available in the lobby to fill up your bottles. Very good value for money.

I stayed in Hotel Tandin on my trip to Bhutan. It is right on the heart of thimpu. It is a budget hotel with a nice resturant cum bar. The rooms have heater which is not so comfortable but is managable.

Hotel Tandin is a decent budget place to stay in Thimpu. Geasers, nominal room heaters available in rooms. The staffs are cooperative on request. The food was really good to my taste. The only thing I found missing was 24 hours reception. But that was manageable. Overall I would say the place is "Good Value for money", as also reviewed... More

Hotel was good value for money. It is older but rooms were comfortable and fairly clean. It was less than $20 US per night. Had hot water showers and the bed was allright. Great location in the center of Thimphu! Staff there was helpful. Food in the restaurant is good, especially the Indian breakfast I had there. If you are... More

The rooms were shabby, dirty & the toilet was wack. You need to switch on the geyser 3 -4 hrs in advance to get a bucket of hot water. It is a low budget hotel in the market place. there are many more budgeted hotels in an around Thimpu's market place.

We were booked into this hotel by a local Bhutanese friend at the last moment, as we hadn't booked ahead for our Thimphu stay. Our room on the first floor was neat and fairly spacious with clean bedclothes and a heater. The bathroom wasn't impressive but decent enough and functional - good value overall for the price! The location is... More

We had booked this place on getting high reviews on a popular travel forum IndiaMike. However the room which was assigned to us was dingy, the attached toilet had broken tiles, broken faucet and even the WC had a leak and water was dripping. No towels or amenities were provided...we had to ask for them. The room was not serviced... More

Hotel Tandin is bang on the heart on Thimphu. I f u want to stay in the middle of all actions then it is the right place just beside the famed clock tower. The hotel is excellent value for money. We had a triple bed room for INR 1500. Stayed from 9.10.13 for 3 nights. Dont expect too much else... More

This hotel is located at the heart of the Thimpu city. We (me and my friend) stayed here for 2 nights in December 2012. The room that we rented was large and had two single beds with a attached toilet and a balcony. The restaurant in this hotel is really good. I found Indian and Chinese and Bhutanese foods in... More
