Though the resort is bit away from the city, but the place is just great.... one may find the exterior a bit satisfying but the rooms and the service is just great... peaceful resort with their very humble staff is a delight.... i wish to visit them again.... Thank you for the seamless hospitality..!!!

Tranquillity is the word which can explain one's experience of bhutan. I was lucky to have a very dear friend who booked this place for me. The taxi kept going up and soon I realised that the whole town could be seen if I walk some 200meters from the resort. I reached the resort quite late in the night, the... More

We stayed here our first two nights in Bhutan and it was a peaceful and relaxing stay. We had a large room with a balcony. All the different light switches kept us guessing as we never knew what switch turned what on, but that was ok. We thought the dinners were really tasty so huge plus on the food. It... More

I stayed at Peaceful Resort in January for one night. It is a fair way out of town, in the upscale suburb of Upper Motithang, but that means it is quiet and foreign travellers will have a car at their disposal so this is not a great issue. It was cold outside, and there was a welcome wood heater in... More

After a bad hotel on our first night at Thimphu, we were moved to the Peaceful resort by our Tour operator. And we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and the facilities that it offered. The room had a modern decor with a touch of Bhutanese traditional woodern artisry. It came with a L shaped balcony bringing... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May 2014 and really enjoyed it here. Our room and bathroom was spacious and had a great view of the mountains. The wi-fi was available in our room itself so that was very convenient. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The food was good although, like in most of Bhutan the... More

The resort was not located in the main town. Our room was spacious. Yet, there are some drawbacks about our room. First, the room was located on the top floor, there are some windows near the ceiling, so when the sun is up, the sun lights will wake you up. Second, there were some huge insects inside the room. Third,... More

Peaceful Resort was way out from the main town and was at least a 45 minutes walk . Even with a vehicle it takes a good 15 minutes to climb down. In other words once you are inside the property you are stuck and just cannot leave till your tour operators vehicle comes in the next day. The property was... More

Excellent staff and hotel services. Located near royal family house. Stayed here for two days. Food was amazing. Rooms are spacious and with nice decores. Never seen a super deluxe room in just 3500 bucks. Though the price I paid thru travel agencies are much more. A very good hotel to stay.

Great spacious guestrooms and very attentive service. We were lucky to get a room on the top floor with valley-facing terrace, great for an early morning cup of tea outside listening to the many birds singing. Only slightly annoying were the Indian-style bathrooms, in which the shower drains across the room in the opposite corner, leaving the entire room flooded.... More
