One of the most interesting hotels in Thimphu for its archetecture. The interior woodwork is spectacular! Worth a quick check of the interior even if you aren't staying there. The rooms are spacious and reasonably clean. Food is so-so. Staff generally friendly. Good location up the mountain from town center.

Had stayed for a couple of days. The deluxe room is good and bright in atmosphere. Unfortunately the poor construction and workmanship affected the room and wash room. The room has double window but no mosquito net, make the summer month horrible with mosquito. Luckily they provided electrify anti-mosquito portion. For the rate I have paid it didn't included breakfast... More

Firstly if a booking is made thru mail please carry the rpint out. Their front desk girls are very dicy. But if you face any problem call for the G.M.......a fantastic guy. Rooms are good specially the suits. Food is quite expensive specially breakfast is no no. Better to walk for 100 mtrs in front and as you go down... More

The Namgay Heritage Hotel is a lovely and well maintained hotel with a hard-working team. The room was very comfortable, well appointed and clean. The breakfasts were excellent, with a nice range of food and drinks. Staff were hardworking, friendly and courteous. Keep in mind that Western style hotels are a rarity in Bhutan and how they do things may... More

We stayed here for 2 nights during our short trip to Bhutan, The infrastructures are very well decorated and looks cosy. The room are comparatively small but clean. Good location away from main streets. Overall a decent place to stay. Recommended

The only thing that is nice about the place is the physical infrastructure. Rooms and beds are great, the shower ok. All the rest is horrible. The amenities stink outright, the service is unprofessional and bad and the Internet... Don't get me started. The food was horrible and the worst breakfast I have had in a hotel in many years.... Landed in Bhutan on 19th May 2014 and the first hotel for stay was Namgay Heritage, in Thimpu. This hotel approach is not that good and is located at a dead end of the road. However the hotel appears to be quite close to the city centre. The first look of the hotel was good strong wooden architecture and we... More

An uphill winding road from the city centre reaches you to this beautiful hotel with carved painted woodwork that takes your breath away. The reception area has wal to wall French windows that look out to the distant mountains. A capsule lift takes you to your room on the upper floors.
