The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Thimpu. There is even a well-working elevator, which seems to be a rarity in the Bhutan hotels. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms well-equipped. The lobby bar is a pleasant meeting point, albeit the variety of drinks offered is rather limited. But the small shortages are well... More

Very nice hotel with a nice lobby and good size rooms. The bedrooms are warm but everywhere else was cold cuz they don't heat the other areas. We found this to be true in all the hotels in Bhutan. There were barking dogs. Good breakfast and free wifi.

Stayed here on 02 occasions. First night was verging on terrible. Room 208 was SO cold, even asking for 02 extra blankets AND a heater we were so cold. Also the noise was so bad. Dogs, people and cars - ALL NIGHT. On the second night was stayed in room 406 - a much nicer room. No extra blankets or... More

Hotel Kisa is a solid choice when staying in the city center. Good location - easy to take a stroll around town on your own when you need a break from the daily tours. Good sized rooms. Make sure you try some Druk 11000 beer at the lobby bar.

If you are planning to go to Bhutan and visit Thimphu, this hotel must be on your list. Best Things: 1. Well lit rooms with electric heaters 2. Polite and cooperative staff 3. Nice locality 4. Proximity to Indian Restaurant - Chulha 5. Nice food but expensive (Can't blame them though as its a characteristic of Bhutan)

This hotel was centrally located in Thimpu. This was booked as part of a package tour, so I cannot comment on the cost. We had a large room on the fourth floor. The room was clean and comfortable. Equally important, it was warm. The breakfast was good. The staff was pleasant and friendly. All in all, this is a good... More

As part of our pre-arranged tour, Kisa hotel was our first hotel accommodation for 2 days. We visited Bhutan in wintry mid-December. The hotel is centrally located in Thimphu and within walking distance to the various shops and restaurants and also right across the national stadium, where we had the honour of witnessing the Bhutanese National Day celebrations. The hotel... More

At check -inn, everything seems ok. Rooms are clean, nice decorated but not typical bhutanese style. When we came back from our afternoon visit, i wanted to change dollars at front desk. The frontdesk officer was extremely unfriendly ! Food, breakfast and diner were not good. We bought our own fresh fruit at the market. The second night we went for... More

Thimphu is a small, charming capital city (one of the smallest capitals anywhere in the world and supposedly the only capital city in the world without traffic lights!) nestled in the heart of the Himalaya. Kisa meaning “where peace prevails” is a family owned hotel with only 35 rooms, reputedly Bhutan’s first designer boutique hotel, opening its doors in October... More

The hotel is well located and the staff friendly. Our room had no view but the dirty wall of the next building. The bathroom is small. The dining room offering and service is disappointing.
