This hotel is quite old and it shows, but it was acceptable. The location is good, the food OK, the service average - I suspect you could do better, but it's saving grace was the room heaters which worked well!

Rooms are clean and large enough. Lot of noise from dogs from the street. The hotel is well located just a short walk away from the main parts of Thimpu town. Breakfast and the a la carte was just OK. Overall avarage in value for the payment made.

Hotel situated in a great location, opposite the archery field and only a very short walk to all the shops, however, there is waste ground next door to it which encourages the inevitable dogs to congregate, which, in turn, leads to barking off and on all night - ear plugs a must! Our room was large, clean and quite comfortable... More

As the hotel is situated on a main street it's only a short walk to the shops etc and bang opposite the archery ground and the football stadium. The rooms are clean and comfortable but the meals lack much in the way of excitement - a bland buffet. Service is okay but I'd have expected more.

We stayed for 4 days on a business visit. If we needed dinner the order had to be given by 4pm. However the dinner was average. We found a new restaurant " Mojo Park" walking distance wher we tried, Bhutanese Food, Pasta and Thai and also stayed on to listen to the live music on Friday which was great and... More

After staying in simple hotels in Bhutan, the Kisa was a luxery: modern hotel, nice room, good bed, complete bathroom, thick towels. And working wifi, hurray. Plenty of plug ins to upload all bateries. Water heater to make my own tea. Nice hot shower. My room was on the top floor with view over the archery fields and the football... More

10 senior citizens visited Bhutan from 26.12.2013 to 01. 01.2014. Stayed in Thimphu at kisa hotel. The temperatures in evenings were -5degreesC. The hotel has good heating systems even in bathrooms which made our stay comfortable. Break fast and Dinner were tasty, service was excellent. Clean bed linen, 24hrs hot water were provided.

This is an average hotel compared to the 5/6* hotels you can find in Bhutan. Location is good close to shops and restaurants. Rooms are large but dark; my room view opened up to the back of the next door building. Heating was adequate in the room (you will need it in the Bhutan winter!). Food - decent buffet they... More

We stayed at the Hotel Kisa for 2 nights. Our room was comfortable and spacious. It was helpful that we had free Wi-Fi throughout Bhutan, including the Hotel Kisa. We ate breakfast and dinner at the Kisa, which was convenient. Food was served buffet-style and included many vegetables. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. It's an easy two-block... More

Kisa Hotel was the first hotel we stayed in Bhutan during a 7-day trekking tour. We did not have too high an expectation of the hotels so we were naturally very impressed when we checked in! The room was large and clean and the wifi worked well. Lots of TV channels too. One of our friends had a room at... More
