I only stayed one night at this camp, booked a room through the overland tour company I was traveling with. We arrived very late after a long day and night on the road so I was looking forward to a nice warm shower and a good night sleep. Unfortuantely I had none of those. The room was very unclean and... Water proof cabins, luckily - it rained all night and the entire camp site was under water. The room was comfortable and clean enough. The shower had hot water and it had a ceiling fan, a cool outdoor table setting and bbq. Tea and coffee as well, bonus ! The bar was a little seedy for some and the service... More

This place is massive, and it is very easy to get lost roaming the vast lands, which are dotted with zebras. Despite this, the owners and management were extremely friendly helping me to exchange some currency (pounds sterling). Then with a fully stocked bar I was able to have a relaxing drink and simply stare at the sunset. Simply a... More

We stayed only 1 night with a touring group near the end of our tour. A bit of a surprise to go though the city only to be in a pretty rural looking place yet close to the city, there were zebra wondering around the campsite ! We had a nice cabin with AC. It also has a nice pool... More

Getting through border posts into Zambia from the south is a hassle and getting through Lusaka at any time of the day is equally time-consuming, so Eureka is about your only option if you don't want to travel at night, never a good idea in Zambia. We camped and our friends stayed in three of the chalets - the camping... More

We got here quite late, the keys were handed out and I got room 10. I got there and went in and the room smelled dusty. I out down my bag and then went to the camp area for tea. When I tried to close the door, it would not lock or even close. The piece of metal that should... More

Getting through the border at Victoria Falls took over 2 hours - crazy! The road from Victoria Falls to Lusaka is fine and took about 5 hours. We were very happy to find the chalets at Eureka were quite large and comfortable. The bedding was comfortable and came with a mosquito net. There was some dust etc. floating down from... More

Eureka camp is located outside Lusaka and after driving through the city which in my opinion looked very clean and friendly compared to some other African cities, we decided to arrange a taxi into one of the shopping malls for something to eat. This was organised by the bar man Robin and the camp cook drove us in and collected... More

Just returned from Lusaka and a fantastic stay with 24 other at Eureka Campsite. We stayed in their chalet accommodation which was perfectly, clean, tidy and functional. The grounds were manicured and the bar well stocked. Food can be pre-ordered and is very well cooked. If you want to use the many BBQ's that are situated around the site there... More

We were welcomed by zebras on the road entering Eureka. Not a bad way to be greeted. We stayed only one night during an overland trip but we found the camp to provide all that we needed: hot showers, clean bathrooms, water for cooking. The bar had a nice vibe and offered reasonably priced drinks. Nothing to complain about here.
