We were welcomed by zebras on the road entering Eureka. Not a bad way to be greeted. We stayed only one night during an overland trip but we found the camp to provide all that we needed: hot showers, clean bathrooms, water for cooking. The bar had a nice vibe and offered reasonably priced drinks. Nothing to complain about here.

Very cute campsite. Lots going on, bar is open and well stocked. Showers and toilets are nice but a muddy walk from the camp site. Lots of space to put up tents. Very friendly campsite lots of nice people around. Very cute dogs as well!

We were welcomed by two ginormous male giraffes and several little zebras as we made our way in the late evening to our area with no gas and limited supples. I cooked the vego option in the camp kitchen and experienced first hand a high stress situation with the proverbial up tight chef berating the slowness of the help. It... More

We stayed in one of the A-framed which was really good, especially after sitting in a bus for 10 hours. The service is however quite bad. The prices are very high ($8 for breakfast, and we got this tiny sandwich..) and by the time we had to pay we found out we couldn't pay with credit card! We ended up... More

This was the most diry and dangerous place we stayed during our 3 week overland tour through East Africa. The first chalet we were given was pretty dirty with many dead insects lying on the floor. When I had a shower out of a sudden I received an electric shock - the water must have somehow connected to the electricity.... More

Background: Upon leaving Livingstone and heading north in Zambia, just before Lusaka - the Capitol, our overland tour group had an overnight stay here at this campground. It is a mixed-use facility consisting of 15 small, thatched-roofed bungalows as well as space for pitching tents. (As our group used tents, I cannot comment on the bungalows/chalets.) PROS: It is located... More

We were going to stay several nights at Eureka, but the warning signs were already there on arrival....at the entrance gate we were stopped and asked to sign-in (very good), but while we were doing so a local car tried to get past security at speed - the security guy managed to stop them (but only just). Reception is in... More

This is pretty much a standard overlander camp in every other manner (cramped camping area, borderline bathroom facilities), but they get a lower review from me for a few reasons: 1) we inquired about upgrading from camping to a room when we checked in and the manager refused to give us full credit for the amount that had already been... We stayed at Eureka Camping Park on 2 separate days as part of overland trip to Zambia. Nice shaded camp site. Limited power points (some if which is broken - plugs to be replaced) with both local and SA type plugs. Clean ablution - showers have curtains rather than doors Doors would be appreciated. Hot water if you early. Friendly... More

The bungalows are great idea to build in traditional Zambian style. The issue is that besides you there are hundredths of spiders, Mosquitos, flys and other insects. This is due to lack of dense wall in the bathroom. So you share the room with others, sometimes unpleasant guessts. Besides that the moisture is in the beds and sheets as well.
