I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the Metropole..I had read the reviews and wasn't expecting anything grand. My room was spacious and clean and had all the menities I needed although the air conditioner remote was a bit challenging to figure out. After a nice lunch my traveling companion and I were woefully disappointed when at dinner time... More

I stayed at this hotel for a week and it was a pleasant experience. Staff were helpful and my room was clean, spacious and fully functional, the A/C was great to use during the night and I was situated only a stones throw away from all the amenities in central Kampla, Breakfast was scrumptous with a wide choice of options.

My room was large and the bed comfortable. There was a lot of noise, mostly people outside rather than traffic but at night it was ok and possible to sleep. The hotel is situated near to a golf course so there was plenty of green around but the hotel's grounds were quite small and there wasn't really any garden and... More

I spent two nights in this hotel, and from my short Ugandan experience, this was the best hotel of all. Big clean rooms AC and hot water at will, comfortable beds, nice service. I enjoyed saying here.

At first glance, the room is stylish and elegant. But there were several major problems and repeated requests IN WRITING to the front desk did not get them fixed. Some of them were fixed at 9.30 on the last night of my stay -- some of them never. Some important items were missing from my room and housekeeping never provided... More

What a disaster, will make a short review as still have had no feedback from the hotel nor have they apologises or even been able to tell us the balance of what to pay. Let me clarify, we requested for 16 rooms and one conference room for a half day meeting on 27th and a half day meeting on 28th... More

I stayed a total of 6 weeks in December and January in different rooms. Some rooms are better than others e.g. working or non working ACs, working or not working remote controls (some with chinese inscriptions), none insects or a few cockroaches or many mini-ants. Staff try to do their best and are very helpful. Breakfast? I had to leave... More

I stayed at the Metropole several times when doing business in the Garden City area (so that I could walk 15 minutes to the office rather than spend 30-45 in Kampala’s chronic traffic gridlock). So it was a convenient location for me; your reaction will depend on where you have to go in the city. This is a decent, mid-range... More

Metropole Hotel is a very clean, presentable and comfortable facility for the mid range budget traveller. Their food is generally good, staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is located just next door to Kampala golf course/club. For the golf lover, this is the perfect affordable and yet decent place for your stay. It is also just a walkable... More
