My husband and me went to attend a wedding in Kampala, and I booked our room thru the hotel web page. Oh! my God, It's the most wonderful hotel ever!!! Wonderful views, services. The room was spacious and very clean with a balcony facing the swimming pool. If you go to Uganda, Kampala Serena Hotel is the best. more
Spent 3 happy weeks here on business and very pleased with Serena Hotel. Rooms pleasant and well appointed, hotel 2yrs old (from refit) and very clean. Prices reflect standard of hotel - dinner buffet 45,000 shillings, beer 6,000 shillings. Breakfast very good (and included in my rate). Room service OK. Staff very friendly and polite, made the team and i... more
This hotel was beautiful. Sparkling clean, fancy without being ornate or stuffy. Couldn't agree more with the other reviewers. This is a first-class operation. The rooms are comfortable; the staff is attentive, helpful and reliable in handling phone messages and requests. The food and facilities are excellent. The contrast to other hotels in Kampala is dramatic. Unless you are a budget traveler, it would be a mistake to stay anywhere else. more
I loved the Serena in Kampala. It was wonderful. The service was great, the food wonderful and it even had a spa as well as lovely gardens. The hotels in the Uganda are not the greatest but this one is the exception. If you have the chance, definitely stay at this wonderful place. Kathy, Alaska more

Staff throughout my one-week stay were fantastic, genuine interested (unlike in some American hotels) in you and really wanted to help you to make your stay perfect. Although it is quiet expensive to stay there (I paid $270, incl. taxes and breakfast), it is definitely worth it.... more
This was my 2nd stay at the Serena and I will try to stay there every time I am in Kampala on business. The other reviews say it all, I'll just add that you should book early as it was full when I wanted to stay overnight. I ended up at the Sheraton across the way, which was great, but... more
