wonderful hotel, especially after living in a giant tent with 60 other guys and having a 3 minute shower every other day. Yeah, we got pretty ripe. As far as the hotel, if you're in Uganda, I definitely recommend this one. more

The hotel proper, gym, pool and inside restaurants were fantastic! Staff was very nice and accomodating. Business center is a plus for business travellers. Free wired and wireless internet in the rooms is a big benefit. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Only drawback that I experienced was burgers ordered from room service were consistently undercooked even when ordered very well done. more

To be honest, we were sicker than dogs while staying here...but the staff was amazing, they found us a doctor, brought us soup and changed our sheet multiple times. Highly recommend it! I would be sick here ANYTIME. :-) more

I've been travelling to Uganda many times and I always stay at this hotel. As frequent traveller to other East and Central African countries, this hotel is by far the most equisite, luxury and nicest hotel I have been to. (To be honest, the Serena in Zanzibar was at least equally good; the one in Nairobi was much worse.) It's... more

Hotel was lovely: lobby, bar, and outside areas were beautiful; my room was spacious with a large bath and complimentary bottled water. The breakfast buffet was better than most, but service in the restaurants was slow. Walking distance to Fang Fang Chinese restaurant! Liked best: breakfast, and free internet Liked least: hotel restaurants more

From the way the Serena advertises itself as a member of "The Leading Hotels of the World," and Kampala's 5 star hotel...I have to say that I was a extremely disappointed. The rooms are spacious, but lack an originality to them. The food is mediocre at best with the room service food feeling like it was re-heated in a microwave.... more

I visited the Serena Kampala during my recent three week trip to Uganda. It was perfect. The hotel is grand and peaceful. The entry lobby is clad in marble with indoor fountains and warm welcoming music. The whole atmosphere is very enveloping. The gardens are lush green complete with foundains and ponds which are filled with frogs and other noisy... more

We stayed at the Kampala Serena as part of our Kenya trip, a 2 day side trip included in our tour. We went to Uganda to do white water rafting in Jinja which was spectaular - if you want to do this, www.adrift.com. This hotel is absolutely stunning in every way, the lobby, the rooms, the funishings and everything in... more
