3 good things I can say about the Tourist 1) good (ish) location if you want central - it is Nakasero market so extremely heated at any time and can be overwhelming 2) the owner was extremely helpful to about any of my requests 3) the restaurant while serving a terribly looking breakfast (that I didnt have in the price... I stayed in Tourist hotel for 3 nights. 31 Dec to 3 January 2015. I chose it online as it was cheap and located in the city center. It was a great decision. The staff was friendly and the rooms were basic and clean. They have good food options as well. I'd like to mention that it was very safe... More

Spent a night in Tourist hotel, hot shower, clean rooms, a bit noisy but in the centre of town, perfect breakfast included for a reasonable (lets say cheap) price. Perfect kitchen with African Indian food !

Stayed here 1 night in Sept-2014. The room were clean and bed were very comfortable and really enjoyed the food at the restaurant. Economically priced. I used room service which was a little slow. Reception desk was polite and friendly.

Food here was a treat. Staff were professional, polite & helpful. They did not try to steal from us by overcharging or short changing as happened in some other places. Rooms were fine. I'd recommend it & I would stay again. Location was also central & handy.

Pretty good and clean Location central in town although area not secure. Staff very warm and helpful which helps offset any disadvantages. Overall I would stay there again as one tends to feel comfortable. Food is GREAT. Chefs really know their job even though the menu is large and they run-out of some of the things each meal was delicious.

I have slept 3 nights in May 2014, when attending eLearning Africa International Conference. I found the quality of service and meals excellent. Staff is very polite and responsive. There is a hight degree of customer care. The Manager of the Hotel, Mr. Nimes Shrestha is a very good interesting man, always concerned whether customers desires are satisfied.

The Hotel in the heart of Kampala, busy shops, open markets and shopping malls around. Easy access to everywhere by public! There are more simple and small rooms, but bigger ones too. The management was great! If you are new in the city, they will be willing to help you and give you hints about what to do what not... More

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. If you are travelling throughout Uganda, the taxi park and coach depot are only a 5/10 minute walk away. The rooms are basic, but what you would expect for $26 a night. Upon arriving to my room I came across cockroaches in the bathroom. Other than that, the room was... More
