Its a value for money, nice place to stay in mid of town. The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive especially Mr. Fred at reception. Also can use all sporting activities of Kampala Club few are paid, but too nominal charges.

The Shangrila Hotel Kampala is not a much ado hotel, but does serve its purpose __ very affordable quick turnaround visit to Kampala. Located close to the CBD and other 5 star hotels it is very suitable for visitors that go to Kampala for a day or two business trip. You get the basics a fairly clean room, air-con, not-so-good... We stayed here one night before being collected by our tour company. Basic facilities but clean and good breakfast in the small garden. Had a drink in the Kampala Club and supper at the Shanghai Chinese which I have to say was delicious and excellent value. Good central location, safe accomodation but lacking in charm and character. Suited our purpose.

I have come to this hotel for about the past 4 years; I wouldn't think of going to any other! The staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. You get a big welcome here and the rooms are really clean and comfortable; the showers are great!. For breakfast there is a great choice, its really good food and you can see... More

Rooms are basic but clean. I stayed here on two occasions, each for over one week. pretty little garden, pleasant staff, never had a mosquito problem. Yes there are openings at the top of the bathroom wall adjoining the outside corridor that treats any passer-by to the sound of your ablutions - but not the big problem alluded to in... More

We are happy that our guests appreciate the services that we offer to them, and when ever there has been some loopholes, we have tried to close it. The Uganda market is filled with eggs with the white York and yellow are scarce, Breakfast is not on budget really, our hotel is small it has got only 13 rooms we... More

Not wishing to spend $180+ per night (Sheraton et al), I happily spent several weeks here in 2013, having earlier tried various other hotels in the centre of town (including the cheaper but somewhat charmless nearby Mosa Court). It's like a dormy house within the precincts of the Kampala Club, with just 12 rooms on two floors, possibly conceived originally... More

This is a small hotel very centrally located in Kampala. Although the hotel itself has very limited facilities gusts can use the Kampala Club, which it shares the site with, this gives access to the club bar, pool anf fitness facilities. The only restaurant available is th Shanghai Chinese, exceptionally good value but a little monotonous after a couple of... More

The hotel is attached to Kampala club. It is just opposite to Hotel Sheraton. The rooms, bed and washrooms are clean and refurbished. The breakfast, internet and laundry are offered free. The city center is at a walk-able distance. It has a well maintained beautiful lawn where the breakfast is served in the morning. It is a quiet and well... More

Clean rooms though they have a "funny" smell - couldn't figure out what it was. It wasn't pleasant. On the first night I experienced a hard, springy mattress. The breakfast is very basic. Location-wise...It's in a good, secure part of town. Overall, I would recommend it if you are on a budget; don't care what food is served at the... More
