The hotel is a little run down. Although the rooms are spacious they are not well maintained. The restaurant area also needs great improvement too. Prices are fair but the comfort is kinda missing. Food is fresh so I have no complaint on the food. The hotel has a good swimming pool. You can also see the Kabaka's lake from... More

The property is located on a hilltop with nice view of the Buganda king's lake, a haven for birds providing an ideal bird watching chance evening and morning. The rooms (we used the single storey cottages) were very clean and spacious which can be double or twin as per specification of the customer. We arrived Kampala at night and the... More

This is a very nice spot in Kampala close (5-10 min by boda-boda) to the city center. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is very friendly. The food is pretty good too: there is a large breakfast with fruit, fresh juice, tea, bread and omelet; try the goat chunks, they are very good! The only downside is... More

If you are looking for a quiet place to stay in Kampala, this is the place to be! The accomodation is located on a hilltop (with nice views on Kampala), close to the lake that was constructed by the (subjects of) the Buganda king. The lake is a haven for birds, landing on the lake in the evening (which gives... More

This property lies west of Kampala town on a terraced hiily landscape overlooking the Kabaka Palace hill with the Kabakas (Kings) lake in the valley in between. A quiet place especially so with the single storey cottages which offer a perfect hide-away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Good for stay in conferences, seminars and workshops. A beautiful... More

We decided to stay at Tal cottages partly because of the swimming pool and gardens.. This was our 7th visit to Kampala. We were met at the airport by the son of the proprietor. Expect to pay 80,000 Ug sh. The pool was functioning and seemed to be properly maintained.. There were sun loungers round the pool and a pleasant... More

No hot water the first night and no water the next night. Restaurant has poor service and hotel staff don't communicate with each other on reservations. Light fixtures hanging loose and cracks in doors. But, maybe that's Africa. It compared to another place we stayed in another city.
