I was in Kampala, Uganda during April 2015. I chose Ivys Hotel after checking out a few reviews and indeed I was not disappointed. The staff were very good and helpful and the hotel was very well equipped. As a guest I had access to the swimming pool, Sauna, gym, business centre. The hotel is strategically located if you have... I stayed at Ivys hotel late January/early February 2015 and found the staff very helpful. A lot of effort was made to make my stay very comfortable after my family had travelled back home to the UK. The service we received during my family's stay (in Dec/Jan) and after their departure convinced me that this is a hotel I will... More

It's a great place for business travellers and tourists. Excellent location, spotlessly clean rooms, comfy bed, good mix of TV channels, professional services, good work Esther, you give me reason to come ivy's. Good food and bar by the way. keep it up.

We arrived with family late at night.receptionist was courteous, they got us a nice baby cot for the child and some hot milk. We even got housekeeping to put a mosquitoes net up for the cot. The food was fantastic. The pool is the best that side of Kampala and the staff are very helpful when approached kindly.

We arrived after 11pm and still managed to get room service dinner. The staff listened carefully to our every comment and followed through to provide what we wanted. The rooms are fine and well appointed. I stayed in a standard room and found it very comfortable, clean and with everything i needed for a comfortable stay. The staff are warm... More

Worst experience ever!!! Not worth your time and money. One is better off staying at Kenylon Hotel. Which is closer, cheaper, cleaner and way better service. The lie they have Wi-Fi or maybe they thought it means "WIFE". If you are looking for a place to swim West of Kampala then please come, but if you want to stay or... More

I stayed here for a charity visit, partly because it was fairly cheap $100 per night per room inc breakfast and because it was close to my contact in Kampala, but NEVER again!! The rooms are very small and very dated, there was a mosquito net and the bed was fairly comfy There was no AC in my room, there... More

Ivys Hotel can be best described for its hospitality. Though the rooms are small but have a cosy feel, the hotel staff is very cordial and offer quick services. Food is good, more variety would be appreciated. But my vegetarian friend had a tough time, drinks are plentiful so are snacks and starters. A warm experience overall.
