I stayed here for several days while I was on a business trip to Uganda. This place has an excellent and friendly staff that works with us at every level. Great breakfast and dinner buffet. It is conveniently located near many restaurants, Casinos, and local shops. Nice pool and a great spa. Looking forward to going back to Kampala. more

I stayed at the Kampala Sheraton in February 2009 and really enjoyed myself! Pros -- Incredibly friendly staff!!! I celebrated my birthday during the trip and they really went above and beyond to make me feel special on my big day. Fantastic! I really don't think I've ever been surrounded by such friendly, professional hotel staff. -- Central location in... more

The hotel has a great location, right in the city centre. I always ask for a city facing room on one of the top floors: panoramic views of Kampala and the surrounding hills. The hotel's had a major makeover in the last year and a half. It has some good restaurants. The breakfast room will put you in the African... more

Great location, nice rooms with view. I stayed on the 11th floor and loved it. The different services offered on location were good. Stayed there 12-13-2008-12-19-2008 more

We have been using the Sheraton for nearly 20 years. It is centrally located with large pleasant grounds, modest but comfortable rooms, a renovated lobby and coffee shop (with cheap furniture) and a nice swimming pool. The health club is reasonable although sometimes poorly maintained. The lockers are cramped and they do not provide soap without asking. But the staff... more

Yes it was a nice city, country and hotel. Reception very helpfull. In my room there was no safe available, but at the reception they were helpfull to assist with a hotel safe. My room was ok. not special, but I had a pleasant stay overhere. Also the feeling that I was in Uganda, made it special. Breakfast fine. Housekeeping... more

The guidebook said it was in need of renovation and overpriced, but now it's been renovated it's just great: very European 5 star standard, everything is sparkling new, clean and modern with very nice ambiance. And cheaper if you book online that what LonelyPlanet says (175 US not 300) more

We booked a two night stay at the Kampala Sheraton using Starwood points, so the price was right. The hotel was very nice. It had more restaurant options then we ever expected. The buffet looked very good and although expensive by African standards, it was about on par with what we'd expect at a US hotel. Everything in the hotel... more
