This is one of the best places i have been to in Uganda. I am Ugandan but truly appreciated this resort. situated on the Lake Vic, has a beautiful scenery with all rooms facing the lake. The food was great and the services were off the hook. the pool is lovely. may be need to be heated on cold days... More

A must visit. Great food and ambience. Distance between the concierge and some of the rooms is really far but good for privacy maybe they could get golf carts to shuttle pple around. Swimming pool, gym, and sauna are excellent. Maybe an a/c remote control cud be put in the conference rppms so you dont have to wait long for... More

This hotel is about half an hours drive from the centre of Kampala and can be hard to find but is well worth a visit. We took some neighbours there to thank them for their help in dealing with some problems at our house. We had an excellent meal overlooking the swimming pool.

I stayed here twice, once en route to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and once before flying home. It is a bit disconcerting to have your vehicle bomb checked before entering and go through a metal detector to enter the hotel. The road to get to the hotel was pretty bad and travels through some poorer areas, which makes the opulence of... More

Most five star hotels in Kampala or Entebee are equivalent to 3 - 4 stars anywhere else. For that reason, don’t be surprised or shocked to find out that you have paid for something below your expectations. Serena Hotel is a nice hotel in Kampala’s standard. The rooms are clean with exception to the bed pillow which I had to... More

Very good place to relax after a trip. I've been there this december and everythig was all right. People were nice and smiling and the restaurant had a very good quality. The room was very clean and you can enjoy a good view on Lake Victoria. It is not so close to Entebbe, but road was not so terrible as... More

This is a perfectly acceptable place to stay (and was especially welcome after a long flight), but frankly falls some way short of the quality that should come with the room prices - it's fine to charge international rates ($300/night) for a room, but the quality of rooms and service has to match (or, frankly, given the average cost of... Really lousy food by the pool. Slippery tiles around the pool so every so often a kid slips. Slow and disorganized service. Taps and dispensers in changing rooms do not function. Lousy value for money. The rooms ok. Does not feel like the traditionally high quality of service offered by Serena..

Firstly, may I register our appreciation for sharing your experience during your last stay, which I have disappointedly noted that was not enjoyable, and I do apologize for the shortfalls. We have taken corrective measures to put right the water taps and soap dispensers with replacements. Improvements on food quality and service speed and hands-on drying of wet pool area... More

My husband and I took our family for lunch at the Serena hotel. We were impressed by the property (lovely views of Lake Victoria, surrounding hills, and manicured gardens), so we decided to stay over for a holiday weekend -- just a quick get-a-away. After our lunch, we went to the reception desk to book a room. The agent at... More

It was a company retreat/workshop and we stayed a full week. Food is awesome, and it was important that we had a good food -- meetings were stressful and long, and no other restaurants close by -- so good food made our stay more enjoyable. Rooms are spacious as they should be in the resort. Pool and gym are new... More
