It is certainly not a 5 stars hotel... But the staff is great and always looking to please. I stayed there May 26 to 31. When I arrived there were no power and the hot water was barely dripping... The boss, Bill took me for a walk near the lake waiting for power to return. They fixed the shower the... More

I had the opportunity to visit this hotel in 2009 when it was still in its infancy. Did not use the accomodation but the service and the gardens where good.I was born and grew up in the local area. Come 2013 ,I happened to stay at the same hotel. Still a good place to stay. Prices are negotiable and they... More

This small hotel near the Speke Resort has got beautiful and very peaceful gardens. My room was basic, but good enough for me. And it was clean! The bathroom was big with a shower over the bath, but the shower could do with being wall or ceiling mounted as it kept falling down and the temperature varied from boiling to... More

I usually come to Uganda once a year for business, it usually means I have to stay in Kampala for a week; I have stayed at Royal Impla Hotel several times over the years, last year I was significantly impressed as they had hired a Manager from Ireland *I think, he was a nice guy though I've been forgotten his... I would have clicked the button between average and very good, but there was none, so I opted for the very good. A few years back we had a meeting and friends stay at the hotel for a few days. I visited again this month and decided to have just a meal. The air was filled with smoke from a... More

I came from America for a few nights to stay on business but compared to other hotels around Kampala I found them to be expensive and later talking to a colleague who called the hotel for prices I found that I had been charged 'white prices' shocking! Not only that but the room was dirty the food overpriced, tasted old... More

Although I would rate it a 3 star hotel, it was very nice to stay there, service was great, rooms clean, and food more than acceptable.Streets are bad around it as many in Kampala. It gave me a good impression.

I organised a workshop with 20 participants the past month in Kampala. The Royal Impala Hotel had been recommended to me by a local organisation, and the recommendation was truly spotted on. The venue is indeed what we were after: a quiet, leafy place, where people can feel motivated to come and spend the day. The cattering service was very... More
