Kolping House was comfortable and safe. The staff was gracious and helpful. Janet in the gift shop was very sweet. She went out and found some special items that we wanted for our group. The breakfast buffet was ok, but repeated the same items daily.

I have now stayed at at the Kolping House, Kampala and pass it as an excellent hotel giving value for money. On my first visit I slept in a single room but found it a bit crammed so I settled for a suite truly enjoyed the space. In both instances, the bed was of good quality i.e. firm mattress, large,... Great place to stay if you're doing voluntary work or similar. Met lots of like minded people. Reasonably priced. Good food. Breakfast buffet needs improving a bit. Excellent room service. Very Clean all the time. Good laundry facilities. Stayed for two weeks whilst on mission in a school and will definitely return to the Kolping next year. Tip: If you... More

Clean rooms. Staff not always very helpful. Large and quiet garden. Feels very safe. Basic buffet breakfast. Frequent power cuts in Kampala, so hotel generator useful - however there seems to be a reluctance to use it. Downstairs rooms are dark. Back rooms are noisy from early morning: roosters, dogs, muezzin, babies... The new building has more modern and brighter... More

When we arrived in Kampala we was searching for a relaxing and quiet place. Then we found the Kolping Hotel. We was satisfied. The breakfast which is included in the room rate is very good and is served as buffet. The staff tried to fulfill all wishes. The rooms are clean and the bathroom offers a big shower. The downside... Used this hotel as a base arriving and leaving Uganda. It is a friendly clean hotel, in a safe environment, The food provided is good and tasty. My rooms were very clean. They did not have safety boxes but there is a lockable cupboard in each room.

The staff is excellent, the hotel is clean and safe, they are not responsible for the noisy dogs at night. The food is yet the breakfast is left out too long and becomes a mosquito fest. Yet this is my place top stay in Kampala, we hosted a hundred person conference for three days at the hotel and it went... More

Good hotel. Midrange prices. They have added a new wing since I stayed but I saw it while attending a meeting at the hotel and it looks good. Service can be slow. Kampala is noisy and I have had some noisy nights here - not from the hotel most of the time but the surrounding places

This Guest house is well placed near to the centre of Kampala. I was mindful of other reviews so asked for a quiet room. There is a block of rooms behind the main block, and if you get a room overlooking the back of the block, you can't hear the night club or anything else on the street. There is,... More

I've stayed at this place on a number of occasions. It is frequently used by visiting U.S. church groups and medical missions. It is very clean, secure, with very helpful staff, and a good value for the money. It is a bit out of town on Bomba road. I have always found it to be quite tranquil and peaceful, esp.... More
