The best address in Lomé, but nothing is of walking distance (but taxis are so cheap...!). Lobby of the hotel also has all usual amenities: souvenir shop, press for foreign newspapers and magazines (not only French press, they had The Economist!), beauty salon, pastry shop, piano bar, night club, etc. The spa has affordable and good quality treatments: 10,000 CFA... Right On The Beach And One Of The Largest Hotels In Lomé. Wow, But What A Lick Of Paint On The Outside Wouldn’t Do. The Ugly Bit. With Little Choice Of Hotels As It Is, And Apart From The Santa Monica Which I Have Only Visited The Reception, But Told It Was One Of The Better Standard Hotels (But Lacking... More

The Sarakawa is a large hotel on a busy road but also backing to the ocean. It has a large lobby with lounge, cafe and bar. Outside behind the hotel is a large pool area with another bar, and further back a raised outdoor restaurant. Beyond that (I'm told) is the beach but I was there at night and didn't... More

This hotel is clean and the room was a little time worn, but reasonably comfortable. The cafe area downstairs was pleasant and the main restaurant serves good food, albeit from a limited menu. The garden was lovely. Staff friendly. Room service menu was disappointing. There were not many interesting choices. My biggest issues were the exorbitant pricing of everything exacerbated... More

This review is from the perspective of rating hotels in western Africa. The hotel staff is nice, competent, but not overly friendly. The hotel is clean and has plenty of amenities: huge pool with plenty of chairs and tables, several restaurants, nice bar in the lobby area, a couple shops where you can get basic necessities if you forget them,... I am confirming the previous reviews. Stayed from January 13-15. Not much to recommend this hotel. The food was OK. Worn and outdated this hotel needs a revamp. Not having stayed in any other hotel in Lome it is hard to know where the Sarakawa fits in.

The rooms are worn down, but clean. Shower and hot water worked. Location is good, swimming pool and garden are nice. Breakfast selection is ok, food quality for breakfast and dinner is very good. Security guards at all floors, WLAN available in all rooms, but very, very slow. Internet access was better around the reception area. Overall a little bit... More

holy smoke - this one needs a renovation and revamp. I think the only thing that I can mention which were good was the the following: - Length of the Swimming pool and that it was heated (or at least not cold). - security on all floors not sgood - Dirty, - extremely poor service at check-in no matter my...
