We passed Swaziland for one night just when moving from the Gomo Gomo private game reserve near the Kruger, to St Lucia near the Imfolozi park. We arrived to the hotel at 06:00 pm, everything was dark and it was hard to on know where to go to. The office was closed and finally we found someone in the restaurant... More

I travelled to Swaziland with my kids for my son's 10th birthday. 2 young boys and mommy on a weekend away! We booked at Hawane lodge for the weekend. Upon arrival on Friday evening, it turned out that our Internet booking had actually been for accommodation at a sister lodge which was self-catering log-cabins. It was not what we wanted.... More

The ‘renowned Restaurant’ run by a top Ugandan chef was extremely disappointing. The menu was limited to 2 starters, 3 main and 2 desert choices. There was no vegetarian option for the main and the soup tasted like wall paper paste. All the vegetables were frozen and the banana fritters were deep fried banana bread balls. This same menu was... Excellent location near Mbabane, Malolotja Park, Glass Factory, and a great place with very relaxing view of the plains and the far mountains. Chalets are very characteristic and extremely nice, almost luxury, very comfortable beds, nice simple decoration, with heater, electric outlets, good bathroom very cozy space. You'll feel great. The lodge is very well maintained, very clean. The restaurant... More

We were very pleased with the standard of the accommodation and facilities at Hawane. After a week or so of self-catered 'roughing-it' in Kruger and Swaziland, the resort afforded a little luxury at a very reasonable price. The traditional chalets are fantastic with big enough beds and bathrooms, good quality bedding and the great smell of thatching! The rest of... More

I previously stayed here in 2007 and thoroughly enjoyed it and have been promising my wife to take her there ever since. So when it was our 10th anniversary, this is one of the places we stayed at. Just as I could remember - nothing has changed. The beds were comfortable, the shower spacious. Food was good and the eating... More

We stayed in Hawane for four nights with my wife and two small children, and it was excellent ! We had initially planned to spend a few days in Malolotja (about 10 kms from Hawane) but we couldn't because the water pump broke down... Since Malolotja's manager is the same as Hawane, he had already organized our transfer to Hawane... More

We spent 2 nights at Hawane Resort and it was just the relaxing, tranquil break we needed. Sipping on some of the finest wines in the ever colourful sunken lounge was a wonderful warm up to the fantastic meals we sat down to eat.....food was diverse in tastes to suit all our pallattes. Our rooms were all unique in colour... More

Lovely bungalows, smartly designed and based on the beehive model, therefore quite cool, but with plenty of light inside thanks to the windows on one sight. The bathroom is a quirky design out of concrete/cement, which is painted in bright colours. (although the bath does not seem to be insulated, which makes the water go cold very quickly). I stayed... Hawane Resort is designed as a Swazi village, complete with surrounding wattle fence and a rivulet meandering between the huts. The reet-thatched huts or Chalets are comfortable, with fine beds and linen. If you want privacy you will probably like chalets number 13 or 19, with outdoor seating and the biggest distance to the more ferquented areas like reception or... More
