I've visited Freetown loads of times and stayed in quite a variety of places - Lacs, Family Kingdom, Barmoi, Number 2 beach, Marianella, Jays, 5:10. Mariam is fine. The rooms are large, spartan and basic, but fridges, aircon... More

Not all facilities and equipment is international standard, but everything worked, although with frequent but brief interruptions in power and wifi. Rooms and... More

I recently stayed at the Hotel Mariam and was impressed by the friendly staff and the size and facilities in the room. Rooms are air conditioned and it has 24 hour electricity. The shower had a good flow with hot water. Breakfast is good but it was difficult to get smaller portions. This hotel is recommended for a mid-range priced... More

Hotel Mariam, is a well established property located a stones throw from Lumley beach. Several improvements and renovations have been done over the past few years and the place is in ok shape. To me, it has a Sierra Leonean charm despite the service not being the best, at times even bordering rude or indifferent - This is the case... More

We often visited the beach in the quite evening times when it was cool and nice to walk barefooted. The hotel room... More
