This place gets this rating for the weird architecture and fantastic view. The service is uneven. First the guard wanted to refuse us access because the car rear door would not open. Eventually a staff member came and let us in. I suggested that maybe their security measures are over the top and that Al-Qaida will never know about the... More

They host some great after work music events on Fridays (usually done by 830/9pm), they start early, and they finish early. The nems are excellent. Just the right combination of savory sweet and spicey! There are excellent sunset views on the ocean.

So first, they gave the keys of MY room to someone else, while I was in the room with my baby. Then the AC is not working... in Senegal, that is not alright. I called to get it fixed in the morning and they didnt send anyone, I called again because my baby started to have heat rushes and they... More

To say the Sokhamon is idiosyncratic would be very accurate. The brown concrete and the faded and often chipped detailing looked as if it was designed by a Parisian eccentric who had a taste for 1960s American television and Khrushchev era Soviet architecture. Cool. I'm up for a combo of the Honeymooners, Brezhnev, and Le Corbusier as much as the... More

It has the best views, so peaceful sitting on the patio, Friday night band is pretty cool! The design is very special, artistic to every details. But the hotel does need better management. Wifi in the room is mostly non-existent, food is really so so and breakfast very poor and one morning they even ran out of eggs! Oh dragging... More

Feel good sitting in front of that swimming pool with a Live Orchestra playing ... Plus it's so simple, and we can find families, couple and some like me who came just after their work to relax and take a deep breath with colleagues ...

I have never been in a place like this before, the Sokhamon is a very special place with a special feel and atmosphere. Absolutely stunning. The design is extraordinary and the view of the sea is incredibly.

This beautiful hotel was the perfect spot- loved the location and enjoyed having breakfast right on the sea. Inside the hotel was gorgeous, just a feast for the eyes. The staff was good and attentive and the food was good as well.

The architecture of the hotel is Modernist or Brutalist (the term brutalist originates from the French béton brut, or "raw concrete," a term used by Le Corbusier to describe his choice of material, not from the word "brute"). It is accessed by many downhill steps and is made of poured concrete burrowed into the cliffside. The decor of the hotel... More

I really enjoyed my stay in Sokhamon. I travel around the world and enjoy going to boutique hotels, and Sokhamon is definitely one of the best hotels that had a lot of thoughts put into it. Each corner of the hotel was artistically designed and each piece of furniture are made and placed with style. The hotel is right by... More
