I spent 4 days at the Sunugal, the place is cosy with friendly staff you feel like you're at home. I had a wonderful sleep, matress and duvet were great and NO mosquitoes !!!! There is even a little SPA where you can enjoy blissfull massages ( so good that I had 2). You have to try the bar-restaurant Charlie... More

Now this is an interesting place. Historically I have always stayed in one of the larger hotels in Dakar, but a combination of cost, the distance from the airport and the fact that I always end up in a well-known bar, (“Katia”), frequented by expatriates but located the other side of Dakar gave me cause to look for an alternative... Booked online for 5 nights B&B. The semi detached bungalow was comfortable and imaginatively decorated with nice touches - mini fridge with drinks, kettle, peanuts and a lovely personal welcome note. There was always plenty of very hot water in the large rain shower. The breakfast was delicious and was very imaginative and very well presented. The pool, outside bar... More

The wifi was really terrible. It didn't work from my room and I had to sit in the lobby to make any use of it. The room I had was alright, but not great. The shower didn't stay on its peg and I had to hold the hose by hand. Electricity went out once and had to get reset. The... More

By phone, 2 confort bungalows were booked. Asked by the man on the phone, he was told we were arriving at 1 pm. At 1.30, we were there and, at a dusty reception, the man, the same who talked on the phone before, said that, after all, only 1 confort room will be available and the other had to be... More

The hotel has a good location, very close to the airport and ngor beach, also there is a chance that the taxi drivers will find it as it is opposite to the cap vert casino (there are very few streets with actual name in dakar so i had very bad experiences with the taxi drivers who usually cannot find anything unless... I've just spent a week in dakar, I discovered the country a year ago and wanted to spend more time in the capital. I chose this hotel because it was cheap and located in the Almadie neighborhood close to nice beaches and restaurants, away from the fuss downtown and close to the airport (perfect for night flights!). The staff was... More
