Hotel staff were friendly and could communicate well in English, room was fresh and nice, bar was empty ! (really did not care much for the mini bar temptation anyway but would have prefered to be tempted first!) Breakfast buffet was verrry gooood! Check in and check out out took a while. Pool and pool area was also cool. more

Food is quite high on my list, and this hotel had a refreshingly interesting menu. I had Tahitian style fish as a starter and it was a great experience! I haven't stayed in hotel, but I had more time I would go there for the culinary experience and the view, again. more

Beautiful view of the Atlantic from my room. Carpet thoroughly stained. Bed comfortable and seemed clean. Small bugs patrolled the table top and entered and exited my computer. The locks on my door were broken, so I wasn't totally surprised one morning when the door would not open at all. When I called the front desk they sent a guy... more

A beautiful building with nice grounds, but expect a 45 minute wait to check in AND check out - standing in line. The rooms are very dated and not that comfortable. The food may me sick. more

I actually stayed in this Hotel as part of a U.S. Navy aircrew in the Spring of '79. This probably will not help to many folks. The place was clean and very upscale. I was on per diem, so I couldn't quote a room price, although it was expensive for the time. Make sure you are up on your French,... more

The hotel is showing it's age. The staff is more interested in chatting then customer service. The Radisson Dakar is a true 5 Star hotel. more

Worth money spent, but beware, they doublecharge breakfasts, in the spirit of the whole continent, where everyone tries to steal as much as he can from you. more

The hotel is big and busy. The decor is quite glitzy and modern in the foyer but the decor doesn't really follow through to the rooms. The rooms are ok though, with all the ameneties, but nothing remarkable. This hotel is all about the view , (Sea view ) and the general quaint laid back ambience of Dakar. more

I was travelling to a conference on my own from the UK and was quite nervous of how I was going to find the hotel after reading the reviews here. I have to say though most of the points that have been made are correct, I didn't have a bad experience. To start, I asked for a sea view when... more

I stayed here to attend a conference. First, I fully concur with others who have pointed out how incredibly confusing the layout is -- the place was poorly designed and is difficult to figure out. The hotel was ok. It is the only luxury hotel around, but is a good 25-30 minutes outside the city and though the ocean setting... more
