If you want a good hotel to cool your heals at in Dakar, I suggest you stay at this hotel. My stay was relaxing, clean, none frustrating and the food was excellent. Internet was adequate to complete my daily reports for work, Skype was poor, but the voice was usable. The rooms were a little outdated but roomy, I'm sure... More

It probably used to be a great hotel, but beside the pompous entrance, the rest of the hotel is poorly managed. No breakfast included, no real amenities, awful rooms and terrible management. In Dakar there are other high class hotel, so why come here? restaurants aren't great and the '80 business style doesn't help to make it palatable. Location is... More

This is a very good hotel and comparisons to 5 star hotels in Europe or North America are not fair. The place is huge and feels very secure. Breakfast buffet is hard to beat and is copious. Rooms are decent. Looking for the Ritz Carlton or a Club Med resort? You are a few thousand miles off.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Its obvious that this hotel is very old from outside. Room I had was smelly and old and didn't look clean at all. Carpet had big stain and when you open the closet it smelled like dead rat. Internet was very slow. Breakfast was nice.Room service was not bad .Okay food and service was good.... More

In certain parts of the world feeling safe in a hotel is important. This hotel gives you that. The hotel from the outside is not that impressive but inside it is 5 star. Very good service from all the staff I have encounted. Very nice breakfast, be careful of the chilli sauce with the omelette it is on the hot... More

I was in Dakar again from 3rd to 6th December. This time their service at checking was not good. They made mistake and my room was not as it was supposed to be. Later in the evening based on my complain they changed the room although it was much better as was supposed to be, but much better than previous... More

I do not even know where to begin or how to express my displeasure in this forsaken place! From black mold growing in your hotel rooms and on your clothes and luggage to the rude housekeeping/hotel staff. For starters the hotel was undergoing major renovations during my stay (which they did not mention when reservations took place) and the noise... More

I was here for the third time and I could say that it is pretty much the same. I stayed longer this time round - about 7 nights. The service is pretty much the time. Their breakfast menu did not change at all the whole week I was here. I can even remember the dishes by name by the time... More

I cherished the location of the hotel - right beside the beach and the Ocean and very close to the airport, as well as the facilities in the room. I did hear from other colleagues who came for the same conference that I was in there, that in some rooms, there were issues, which took a day or two to... More
