The first night I was mentally, and physically exhausted.I got into my room which was far frrom the bathroom which I was told I'd be sharing with her sixteen-year-old son, certainly a very well educated, well mannered young man, but unconscious how his urine smelled if it weren't cleaned up. And he would leave the sink filthy with hairs stuck... More

SenegalStyle B&B is an American owned homestay guesthouse and not a hotel. We serve both breakfast and dinner at one low price ($30 a night), however and that sets us apart from all the other accommodations here in Dakar. We live in a regular Senegalese neighborhood and conduct ourselves as our local Senegalese neighbors do. Normally people reserve their rooms... More

First, Sineta and her son Jonathan are fantastic. Senegal Style provides a gentle transition into greater Dakar which, to those inexperienced with Dakar/West Africa, can be overwhelming (I speak from experience). Here are a few reasons why I ultimately chose to stay at Sineta's B&B: 1. Price. Great Value. 2. Sineta speaks perfect english. She's an expat. That's very helpful... More

I travel a lot for work. I hook on high end hotel and B&B. It is always fun tasting local. But never experienced something as at Seneta's. She hosted me in her home (the B&B), fed me as an American prince (unbeatable Burger so far), and tour guided me around the city with her scooter (still one of the best... More

Sineta and her son Johnathan make your stay in Dakar comfortable and fun. If you want to stay in a place where people speak English, but you still get the real Senegalese experience, you must stay here. Sineta will welcome you into her home and help you find the things you need. We had never traveled to Africa before, but... More

Senegalstyle provides a simple yet nice accomodation in a clean and bug-free house, recommended for no-frills travellers. Sineta, the american owner, is very charming and full of initiative, cooks very good breakfast and dinner and does her best to make you feel at home. And she really makes it, offering useful suggestions and interesting motoscooter tours in the city! She... More

We have stayed for 14 days in SenegalStyle, It has been a wonderful experience for us, not only the price being affordable also Seneta and her Son, Jonathan, have made us feel, as if we are at home. Not to forget, she is the best cook, even I liked her food better than the big hotels in Dakar. So thanks... More

I am staying at Senegalstyle for 3 days and am really enjoyed my stay. I took the motorscooter tour when i first got here after being picked up at the airport by the owner's son Jonathan. The airport was chaos and i am glad i opted to have them come get me. So i went on the scooter tour and... More

I have stayed with Sineta for one month and i can certainly recommend the place, great food, like cornbread and hamburgers, and Sineta has a lot of knowledge about Dakar. The place feels a bit like home with DVD's etc. The B&B is very well located and well connected to public transport like buses and car rapides. It is not in... More

I stayed at SenegalStyle for about 3 weeks while working in Dakar with a local non-governmental organization. Staying at this bed and breakfast felt more like a home stay in which Sineta and her son, Jonathan, made me feel like was a member of the family. Their home is located in a safe and convenient area in Dakar with access... More

Relaxed and friendly senegastyle is my recommendation for anyone going to Dakar. It's location in a nice neighbourhood has good communications whereever you want to go. Apart from the nice room, it's was really valuable for me as a non french speaking person to have someone to ask for directions and tips about the city. It's really a home away... More
